Mock Draft Central: Welcome to Steven Wray of Fantasy Football Cafe
Mock Draft Central: Welcome to John Baker of Fantasy Football Helpers
Mock Draft Central: Viewers can start the questions whenever
Mock Draft Central: Just a note that this is a PPR draft -- one point-per-reception
Fantasy Insider Online: hollllllleeeeeeerrrr
Mock Draft Central: Welcome to Matt Hinzpeter of Fantasy Insider Online
Fantasy Insider Online: LOL Thanks for having me
Mock Draft Central: Any time, bud
Fantasy Football Cafe: This should be a lot of fun guys.
Fantasy Football Cafe: Thanks Geoff
Mock Draft Central: We have our first question from AIM: How big of a difference does PPR make in your drafting strategy?
Fantasy Football Helpers: Been looking forward to this for a week.
Fantasy Football Trader: Yes. Thanks hats off.
Fantasy Insider Online: Well, in a league with PPR, it definitely plays a role
WCOFF: mainly for RB's
Fantasy Insider Online: Especially when you're looking at RB's
WCOFF: Bush, Westbrook etc. get moved up
Fantasy Insider Online: exactly
Ultimate Fantasy Sports: Jackson
Fantasy Football Trader: PPR begins to affect my board the later I get into the draft...when I get into RBBC situations.
WCOFF: I move Ladanian up
WCOFF: lol
Ultimate Fantasy Sports: will we have to draft a fake team if Fake Teams is a no show?
Mock Draft Central: Welcome to Greg Bebezas of Fantasy Football Times
Fantasy Insider Online: Geoff, you doing AIM and the questions and the draft at the same time?
The Fantasy Football Times: hi guys, good luck
WCOFF: ty
WCOFF: good luck !
Mock Draft Central: Yes, I'm doing double duties tonight
Fantasy Sports Source: good luck everyone
Fantasy Insider Online: wow, much respect for that
Fantasy Football Helpers: Same to you
Mock Draft Central: Thanks
Mock Draft Central: Welcome to Rick Puntureri of Game Time Decisions
Mock Draft Central: Welcome to Lou Tranquilli of BFD Fantasy
Ultimate Fantasy Sports: bfd
BFD Fantasy: LOL-how are you John?
Mock Draft Central: Question from AIM: first rounder most likely to be a bust?
Ultimate Fantasy Sports: always wanted to do that..good..and you?
Mock Draft Central: Welcome to Eric Hinz of Fake Teams
WCOFF: can we answer that after the 1st round ?
Mock Draft Central: We now have a full house!
Mock Draft Central: Sure, Todd
BFD Fantasy: Very well, heading for the beach tomorrow...
Ultimate Fantasy Sports: cool...
Fantasy Football Trader: I have some big non-injury related concerns about Alexander.
Mock Draft Central: Question from the MDC Forum regarding PPR leagues: Jackson and LT are clearly the top 2 in a PPR. Is there a clear #3?
WCOFF: yes
Ultimate Fantasy Sports: will you get him at 4?
WCOFF: no
The Fantasy Football Times: whats the time limit per pick
Mock Draft Central: one minute
Fantasy Football Cafe: good luck guys
The Fantasy Football Times: thanks
Fantasy Football Trader: No clear #3.
Fantasy Sports Source: Here comes the biggest surprise of the draft ...
Fantasy Football Trader: gl 2 u 2
Mock Draft Central: Question from e-mail: Who do you think is the top fantasy sleeper this year?
Mock Draft Central: Again, you guys can come back to that later -- or this is a mock
WCOFF: This will not play out ?
Mock Draft Central: Nope, just a mock
Fantasy Football Trader: No.
WCOFF: cool
Fantasy Sports Source: somewthing wrong with alexander
BFD Fantasy: 1st Round Bust Candidate: Westbrook IMO
WCOFF: Lamont Jordan might be a huge sleeper
WCOFF: Taken VERY late
Fantasy Football Trader: Mark Clayton
WCOFF: he helped me win WCOFF
Mock Draft Central: I don't think the sleeper crop is as deep this year
BFD Fantasy: Kevin Curtis for a Sleeper
WCOFF: I agree
Mock Draft Central: I like Drew Bennett in St. Louis -- he was good with Volek; imagine what he can do with Bulger and the rest of the Rams
Mock Draft Central: Question from AIM: thoughts on Chris Henry (wr for bengals) after suspension
WCOFF: he'll be gone for too long
WCOFF: he's still a #3 too
Mock Draft Central: I don't think he's worth carrying on a re-draft roster for the 8 weeks he'll be out
BFD Fantasy: Lets see if he can manage to stay out of trouble long enough to get back
WCOFF: tough to hold him on your roster all year
Mock Draft Central: When he's on the field, he's a damn good player
Fantasy Football Trader: Not gonna help your fantasy team.
Mock Draft Central: Question from the MDC forum: so where does portis go with betts and shooting off his mouth about vick?
Mock Draft Central: From what I've seen, Portis is a mid-second rounder/early third-rounder
Mock Draft Central: Rudi at 2.5 is a steal
WCOFF: shooting his mouth doesn't really affect fantasy - much
BFD Fantasy: Portis for value is the way to own him
Fantasy Football Helpers: IT was him or Manning
Fantasy Football Trader: I like Portis over 16 games this year.
Fantasy Football Helpers: So do I
Mock Draft Central: Question from AIM: What is the fantasy value for the Rb's in Dal?
Fantasy Football Helpers: I also like Edge much more than a year ago
Fantasy Football Helpers: That will be interesting with new coach.
Mock Draft Central: Question from AIM: Of the 3 Bengals taken in first 2 rounds (Rudi Carson Chad) who will have best/worst season
Fantasy Insider Online: I think julius jones becomes more valuable because he won't get as many carries at the goal line taken away from him with parcells out of dallas
Fantasy Football Helpers: Or should I say new "assistant" coach to Jerry Jones
Mock Draft Central: PPR League: Chad, Rudi, Palmer
Mock Draft Central: Value-wise
Fantasy Football Cafe: we'll try something here.
Fantasy Insider Online: geoff... you gonna start doing this mind reading thing on me again?
Mock Draft Central: Question from e-mail: Who do you think will start for packers at Runningback?
Mock Draft Central: I have my swami hat on :-)
Fantasy Football Helpers: I think the rook, Jackson wins it.
Mock Draft Central: Morency to start the year, with Jackson getting carries
Fantasy Football Helpers: If that happens, I really don't think it lasts very long
Fantasy Football Trader: Brandon Jackson
The Fantasy Football Times: gb is a rbbc all the way
Mock Draft Central: I agree
Fantasy Insider Online: i like thomas jones in ny alot this year
Mock Draft Central: I don't think Jackson grabs it
Fantasy Football Helpers: Should be spirited competition if nothing else.
Mock Draft Central: Question from AIM: What would be reasonable projections for Vernon Davis and Kellen Winslow, and whom is more valuable in dynasty leaques
Mock Draft Central: Just a reminder to our viewers, you can ask more than one question -- I've had a few folks ask me that
Fantasy Football Trader: Davis is a wildcard - but it's hands down Vernon for Dynasty
BFD Fantasy: Davis in Dynasty and each should catch 60 passes easily assum. healthy
Mock Draft Central: I'm not much of a projection guy, but I agree with Davis for dynasty -- has the better talent around him
Fantasy Football Helpers: The 49ers look like they're starting to build something down there.
Mock Draft Central: Question from AIM: Brandon Jacobs? can he go the whole season healthy and get 20-30 carries/game?
The Fantasy Football Times: no
Mock Draft Central: I don't think so
WCOFF: I dont think so
Mock Draft Central: Let me quote something that I wrote the other day about Jacobs
Fantasy Football Helpers: Obviously the Giants don't think so.
Mock Draft Central: In 2006, his yards-per-carry decreased every month; starting at 7.0 YPC in September, falling to 4.3 YPC in October, dropping to 3.9 YPC in November, and ending at 3.5 YPC in December....
Mock Draft Central: Just don't think Jacobs' style is capable of handling a full workload over a 16-game season
Mock Draft Central: Question from e-mail: What do you project D. Williams numbers to look like this year in Carolina
WCOFF: hard to say what Fosters role will be.
Mock Draft Central: Yeah, that's another tough RBBC situation
BFD Fantasy: I have DeAngelo atat #21 in Pt. Per Rec Leagues
WCOFF: Williams should run for about 1000 and 6-7 TDs if he gets majority of carries - eventually
Fantasy Football Trader: I believe he goes nuts - 1,650 and 10-12 TDs are possible
Mock Draft Central: Hopefully, some of these RBBC get cleared up by draft day
BFD Fantasy: Not as many RBBC as you may think IMO
Fantasy Football Trader: The Panthers have never WILLINGLY given Foster anything - that is no RBBC.
Mock Draft Central: More split-carries than RBBC
Mock Draft Central: Questionable RB situations, then
Mock Draft Central: Dallas, both New York teams, Carolina, Minnesota ... to name a few
WCOFF: with Colts and Saints success RBBC is looking like a good idea for coaches
WCOFF: fantasy-wise - yuch
BFD Fantasy: 1A 1B RB situations.
Mock Draft Central: Question from AIM: How much more valuable are WRs in PPR leagues?
BFD Fantasy: Far more than a weak #2 RB IMO and even more so in a WCOFF lineup format
Mock Draft Central: Viewers are reminded that there are fantasy football mock drafts going on 24/7/365 here at Mock Draft Central - join one today!
Fantasy Football Trader: Not as much as you would think - IMO
The Fantasy Football Times: carolina's new zone blocking system is perfect for d. williams
Fantasy Football Helpers: Well, if you've ever had 3 WRs who caught 3-5 passes each, but failed to get over 50 yards...or whatever your yard totals are...and got 0 points for it, you know how valuable they can be.
Fantasy Football Helpers: 9-11 points is far better than 0 points.
Mock Draft Central: Hard to argue that
Mock Draft Central: Question from e-mail: is it wrong to go runningback with your first two picks in a ppr. does one need the dominate wr?
WCOFF: not wrong - actually better
Fantasy Football Trader: Nice pick F.I.O.
WCOFF: just raise value of RBs that catch a lot
Fantasy Insider Online: thanks
Mock Draft Central: Question from AIM: could reggie bush be a top five player in a ppr league?
Fantasy Insider Online: wanted a clear cut starter in that flex
WCOFF: I dont think so
Fantasy Football Trader: I don't believe so.
WCOFF: McCallister will eat up a lot of production
Fantasy Insider Online: and even though its PPR, i still like having a rb at that flex
WCOFF: Bush had many mediocre games
WCOFF: helped me win WCOFF down the stretch though
Mock Draft Central: Question from the MDC forum about Domanick Davis Williams: After being a early first round pick last season before the injury, where does Dominic end up and where is he drafted in the draft?
WCOFF: 1st week of WCOFF playoffs was Bush's 4 TD game
Mock Draft Central: I can't see Davis-Williams making any kind of fantasy impact this year
Fantasy Football Trader: At Arby's
Mock Draft Central: Haven't seen him go in any mocks yet this year
Mock Draft Central: Question from the MDC forum: seems to me that there are wr/te values in a ppr league for those possession & short yardage receivers that aren't normally as valuable. am I wrong?
Fantasy Insider Online: great pick fantasy football trade
Mock Draft Central: You are correct -- the PPR makes a huge difference for a good number of receivers/tight ends
Fantasy Insider Online: i hear norwood packed on 20lbs of muscle
Fantasy Football Trader: tyty - I'm a lil giddy about Norwood this year.
Fantasy Insider Online: poor warrick is getting phased out
Fantasy Football Trader: kid can scoot and I believe he wins that job outright
Mock Draft Central: Think you'll see the PPR help a lot of receivers in the later rounds, too
Mock Draft Central: Guys like Furrey, Jurevicius, and all other white receivers will see their value rise
Fantasy Football Trader: I believe that dominant TE is still valuable - but PPR dumbs down the middle of the pack so to speak.
Mock Draft Central: Nice KJ pick
Fantasy Football Trader: Why the hype about Kevin Jones???
Fantasy Football Trader: Am I allowed to ask questions...lol
Mock Draft Central: sure
Fantasy Football Trader: I'd love someone to sway my opinion on K. Jones this year.
Fantasy Football Trader: I'm just not feeling it.
Game Time Decisions: Is anyone in here a girl? You lie to girls - not guys
Mock Draft Central: Well, what is your opinion?
Fantasy Football Trader: Tatum takes that job and never gives it back.
Mock Draft Central: Because of KJ's health?
Fantasy Football Trader: No. b/c Tatum will be that good in Martz' offense.
Mock Draft Central: Jones was pretty good in the Martz offense
Mock Draft Central: Fourth overall in the entire NFL in yards after catch.
Fantasy Football Trader: True. But what will tatum do with Williams AND Johnson demanding attention?
Fantasy Football Trader: I could be totally wrong.
Mock Draft Central: Is Tatum a sure thing to be in there?
Fantasy Football Trader: No. Is Jones?
Mock Draft Central: If healthy
Fantasy Football Trader: RB lose jobs to not being healthy all the time.
Fantasy Football Cafe: but is he?
The Fantasy Football Times: didnt expect to take both carolina rb's, but i'll take the team's total rushing
Mock Draft Central: Question from AIM: no love for chambers?
WCOFF: he was soooo bad last year
WCOFF: did he have 1 good game ?
Mock Draft Central: Some stability at quarterback would help him
Mock Draft Central: Not sure if Trent Green is stable, though
Fantasy Football Trader: ...of which the Dolphins currently have none.
WCOFF: there is the love
BFD Fantasy: I don't see Chambers value going up even with Green in town
The Fantasy Football Times: he's too streaky
Mock Draft Central: I agree with that
Mock Draft Central: Question from e-mail: When does the first defense go?
Mock Draft Central: There ya go :-)
WCOFF: just now
Ultimate Fantasy Sports: trend setter that i am
Fantasy Football Trader: Great questions everyone. You have some great participants MDC - hats off.
Mock Draft Central: We do have a good, smart group of users
Mock Draft Central: Viewers are reminded that there are fantasy football mock drafts going on 24/7/365 here at Mock Draft Central ??? join one today!
Ultimate Fantasy Sports: was the ? asked before I picked? didn't look until after
WCOFF: seconds before
Fantasy Football Trader: Any time after you round out your skill players+flex
Ultimate Fantasy Sports: ty
BFD Fantasy: Great Draft so far all.
WCOFF: DEF. That is the right spot if you get a top 2-4 DEF but after that, get good backup RBs and WRs and wait a few rounds for DEF
Fantasy Football Trader: WCOFF = solid advice there.
Mock Draft Central: Question from e-mail: What is the situation in miami with qbs?
WCOFF: hes in KC
WCOFF: practicing
Fantasy Football Trader: I really feel the T. Green gets there
BFD Fantasy: So is the Dolphins Plane
Fantasy Football Trader: Everyone wants it to happen.
Mock Draft Central: Don't think Green is much different than Culpepper
WCOFF: I heard Atlanta is maybe interested in Green now - maybe just a rumor
Fantasy Football Helpers: Truthfully, I'm not sure he makes a huge difference anyway. I'd like to think it does, but....
Mock Draft Central: Neither is going to get much done behind that line
BFD Fantasy: Thats what I get for calling Curtis a ssleeper!
Mock Draft Central: You're a nice guy, Lou
Fantasy Football Trader: The real question is does LJ get much done behind that line?
WCOFF: he was off my list until you said that....LOL
Mock Draft Central: I seriously have my questions about LJ
Mock Draft Central: Think there is a large amount of downside there
WCOFF: dissapointing that KC did nothing to help L. Johnson and the line
Fantasy Football Trader: I do as well.
BFD Fantasy: I try being nice AND to win!
WCOFF: just messin around - I like K. Curtis this year quite a bit
Mock Draft Central: I like the Droughns pick
Mock Draft Central: He'll get some carries
Fantasy Football Trader: Man - quality QB is available DEEP this year.
Fantasy Football Helpers: Thanks. I do, too.
Mock Draft Central: Question from AIM: who are some running backs i can draft late that could be barber/jones-drew types
WCOFF: Yes. Young, Leinart, Romo, Cutler, Rivers all still there
WCOFF: D. Rhodes
Fantasy Football Trader: My first mistake there.
WCOFF: what mistake ? Shaub ?
Fantasy Football Trader: Yes.
Mock Draft Central: Since our questions our starting to dry up, would any of our experts like to plug their site?
Fantasy Insider Online: well, for anyone that hasn't see... The NEW Fantasy Insider Online went live about two weeks ago. Total change from our previous site
Mock Draft Central: I have seen it -- very well done
Mock Draft Central: Much improved
Fantasy Insider Online: yeah, i'd say so lol
Mock Draft Central: You guys did a good job -- congrats
Fantasy Football Trader: I have an extremely cool classifieds area in development at Fantasy Football Trader. Individuals AND leagues will be able to search for each other by all sorts of criteria.
Fantasy Insider Online: thank you sir
Mock Draft Central: Question from AIM: How early is Kevin Jones expected to be readt to play this season?
Mock Draft Central: He just got the screws out of his foot -- when he will be ready is still unknown
Fantasy Football Trader: No more posting your availablity on half a dozen differnet message boards.
Mock Draft Central: That sounds cool
Mock Draft Central: Nice Furrey pick
WCOFF: TY
Mock Draft Central: Might not get as many receptions, but will still be valuable in this scoring set
WCOFF: overlooked because of the Rook
Fantasy Insider Online: i like jennings alot
BFD Fantasy: jennings nice pick!
Fantasy Football Trader: Last I heard is still "mid-season"
The Fantasy Football Times: thanks, he shouldnt be here
Mock Draft Central: That's my undervalued QB
Mock Draft Central: Fitzgerald + Boldin = Leinart
Mock Draft Central: Any number they put up, he puts up
Fantasy Football Trader: Agreed.
Mock Draft Central: Like Big Ben, too
Mock Draft Central: He was doomed from the start last year
Fantasy Football Cafe: i do like that leinart pick there, course I better since i have those guys haha
Mock Draft Central: Yeah, our mock-matchup would be interesting to say the least
Mock Draft Central: Go Bryant Johnson and Leonard Pope!
Fantasy Football Cafe: haha
Mock Draft Central: Some decent QB values in round 11
Fantasy Football Cafe: well i've never done the two WR from the same team and in a PPR i was curious how it would look
Mock Draft Central: Would be fun to track, that's for sure
WCOFF: hook it up !
Fantasy Football Cafe: yeah i don't get opportunities to test theories like that with this many solid drafters so I thought I would give it a try
Fantasy Football Helpers: I think with those 2, it's sound...except for the bye week.
Fantasy Football Trader: grrrrrrrrrrr...wanted Devery!
Mock Draft Central: Yeah, nice pick John
Fantasy Football Trader: Could be a tool and pick up Keyshawn
Mock Draft Central: I have a gut feeling that Keyshawn could be a training camp or mid-season signing somewhere
Ultimate Fantasy Sports: ty
Fantasy Football Cafe: i like bell there.
WCOFF: me too
WCOFF: nice pick
Fake Teams: tHANKS. aLMOST FORGOT WHAT sHANAHAN IS LIKE AFTER SEEING hENRY GO SO HIGH.
Mock Draft Central: Shanny = the enemy of fantasy players everywhere
Mock Draft Central: Jurevicius-stealer!!!!!
Fake Teams: yeah but in the 12th round he can only be a friend
Fantasy Football Helpers: I like him for 50-60 catches if he's healthy for 16 games.
Mock Draft Central: very true
The Fantasy Football Times: bruce was good value there
Fantasy Insider Online: handcuffing
Fantasy Football Helpers: There's a guy who just produces...R12 for a 1,000 yard guy is pretty good value. I don't care who's coming in to "take his spot."
Mock Draft Central: I like Washington
Mock Draft Central: Solid!
BFD Fantasy: VY there is great. Nice selection
Mock Draft Central: Thanks
Mock Draft Central: I considered him back in round 8, lol
BFD Fantasy: I shoulda waited with you..
Fantasy Football Cafe: you got me on deuce and VY tonight. haha
Mock Draft Central: You got me on your fair share, too
Mock Draft Central: Driver off the top of my head
Fantasy Football Cafe: ahh. well that helps a little haha
Mock Draft Central: Fitz, too
Mock Draft Central: I blame you for the disaster that is my receiving corp
Fantasy Football Trader: Thank you again for having me M.D.C. If anyone every needs a last minute mocker in a pinch, I'd be honored to help you out.
Fake Teams: Only one more pick until I have to take a K and DEF
Mock Draft Central: Thanks for drafting -- that goes to all of you
Fantasy Insider Online: thank you
BFD Fantasy: Thanks to all of you, and lets promo MDC with this draft together.
Fantasy Insider Online: any of you guys interested in working together or any other idea, please hit me up - theteam@fantasyinsideronline.com
Mock Draft Central: Thanks to our viewers, too
The Fantasy Football Times: yes, definitely. it's all in getting the word out.
Fantasy Football Helpers: My speculative pick. Can he stay healthy and will brees revive his pass catching skills?
BFD Fantasy: love him as a late TE
Fantasy Insider Online: Geoff, you've done an excellent job as always
Mock Draft Central: It takes a real die hard to watch a fantasy football draft in May
Mock Draft Central: Thanks much Matt
Fantasy Insider Online: lol
Fantasy Football Trader: Great software here.
Ultimate Fantasy Sports: sickos if you ask me lol
Fantasy Football Cafe: haha
Mock Draft Central: The sickos put the food on the table, John
Mock Draft Central: :-)
Fantasy Football Cafe: we are too.
Fantasy Football Helpers: But it's a godo kind of sick..like watching roller derby when teh kids are asleep.
Ultimate Fantasy Sports: ive already had two trading periods and a 6-day college draft for all my leagues lol
Fantasy Football Helpers: Yikes!!
Fantasy Football Cafe: that sounds like fun.
Mock Draft Central: God bless those sickos
Fantasy Football Helpers: I'd like to get into a college football fantasy league. Know of any good ones?
Mock Draft Central: u-sports.net is definitely worth looking at
Fantasy Football Helpers: I'll check it out
Fantasy Football Trader: I must have timed out on Welker
Fake Teams: Like the one minute limit. Only got caught once with Santana Moss
Fantasy Football Trader: In that case...gimme Bryant Johnson as my 1st pick on waivers...lol
Mock Draft Central: The one minute time limit was to keep our viewers awake
BFD Fantasy: Like the 1 minute
Fantasy Insider Online: it's been a pleasure, everyone
Fantasy Sports Source: I'm looking at my team and all I can think is what an awesome team ... 4 years ago!
Mock Draft Central: Ben Coates was a great pick :-)
Fantasy Football Cafe: haha .. hey guys thanks a ton. I had a blast and thanks for including me
WCOFF: Lots of fun. Wish we could play it out.
BFD Fantasy: Nice Draft All thanks again, and I'm always ready for a good Mock Draft. Lou
Mock Draft Central: Thanks guys
Fantasy Football Trader: Gimme Carney for my Saints loving co-owner who is here in spirit.
Mock Draft Central: Yeah, I can do that
Fantasy Insider Online: you're the man
Fantasy Insider Online: thanks guys
Fantasy Sports Source: Thanks
Fantasy Football Helpers: Very nice you guys. I enjoyed it..
Fantasy Football Trader: Me too.
Mock Draft Central: Thanks guys
Fantasy Football Cafe: thanks again. take care guys.
