(Commish): Welcome to our early viewers
(Commish): Welcome to Jason Pliml of Mock Draft Central
(Commish): Welcome to Tom Kessenich of Fantasy Sports Magazine and the National Fantasy Football Championship
Jason Pliml: Hey Tom
Tom Kessenich: and the NBC Sports Fantasy Football Championship. :)
Tom Kessenich: Hey guys
(Commish): The resume is getting a bit long Tom
Jason Pliml: Do you have a tri-fold business card now?
Tom Kessenich: good to be here. i'm watching t.j. ford light up the magic and now i'll do a football draft. :)
Tom Kessenich: i just got new business cards jason - it's pretty crowded
Jason Pliml: yeah, what with the simulated Ryan Grant autograph and all...
(Commish): Welcome to Brian Swaw of GameTimeDecisions.net and the Chicago Tribune
Brian Swaw: Hey guys glad to be here
(Commish): Welcome to Ryan Brooks of FantasyFootball.com
Ryan Brooks: Hello guys
(Commish): Welcome to Greg Bebezas of The Fantasy Football Times
Greg Bebezas: Thanks, Hi guys.
(Commish): Scoring for the draft can be found at: http://www.mockdraftcentral.com/2008_fantasy_football_expert_mock_draft_bio_1.jsp
(Commish): Just a reminder NO PPR
(Commish): Welcome to Herbie Teope of Metro Sports
Herbie Teope: What's up, folks?
(Commish): Since our viewers are shy, I'll ask the first question. Which player -- veteran or rookie -- gained the most thanks to this weekend's draft?
Jason Pliml: Rex Grossman - he lept from undraftable to barely draftable
Tom Kessenich: i think matt forte - he went from being a nobody to being the likely starter for the bears. he made a rather huge leap in my opinion
Jason Pliml: I just disappointed my 3-year-old son. My wife asked how my draft was going. I then had to squelch his excitement -- no, daddy doesn't have a giraffe...
(Commish): I agree on Forte
(Commish): Welcome to Matt Schauf of Sports Buff
(Commish): Welcome to Dalton Del Don of Rotowire
Herbie Teope: From the NFL point of view and not fantasy, any player in a Kansas City Chiefs uniform. They've been doing cartwheels in KC since Saturday's first three rounds.
Jason Pliml: LJ had to be praying it would rain offensive lineman
Herbie Teope: First three picks that is.
(Commish): Question from e-mail: How has the drafting of Felix Jones effected your outlook and ranking for Marion barber. I had him top 10, and still do.
Tom Kessenich: i don't think willie parker will be sending jerry jones any christmas cards for passing on mendenhall
Greg Bebezas: Overall, I think the draft really hurt fantasy by creating more RBBCs.
Louis Tranquilli: hello all
Greg Bebezas: And no legit fantasy WRs came out of it either.
(Commish): Welcome to Louis Tranquilli of BFD Fantasy Football
Tom Kessenich: i had barber at 9 and bumped him a bit to 11. the guy has been top 10 the past two years despite being a backup. i'm not concerned about jones' presence. it should help keep barber fresh so that's a good thing. i'd still take him as a RB1
Ryan Brooks: Barber should still get the TDs. Felix will take a few carries but not more than JJ last year.
(Commish): Question from e-mail: Views on Deangelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart in Carolina?
Brian Swaw: Marion Barber will still be as effective as he was when Julius Jones was there. Narber didn't play on 3rd downs last season and that is all Felix Jones wil play
Matt Schauf: Stewart will be the best back out of this draft
(Commish): Welcome to Andy Behrens of Yahoo!
Jason Pliml: I wasn't a big fan of Deangelo anyway.
Andy Behrens: Hello, all.
Matt Schauf: 1200 yard possibility this year
Tom Kessenich: I don't think John Fox is a big fan of DeAngelo's either
Brian Swaw: Stewart if he can stay healthly. injury conserns in college
Matt Schauf: liked him enough to pick him in Round 1
Jason Pliml: the Carolina running game as a whole will suffer if the passing game doesn't get better / stay healthy
Tom Kessenich: true but they wouldn't start him even when foster was terrible
Tom Kessenich: i just don't think they view deangelo as a starter
(Commish): Question from IM: How did the draft affect Willie Parker's fantasy value?
Matt Schauf: yeah, that certainly seems to be the case
Matt Schauf: Parker's a sixth-rounder on my board
Tom Kessenich: i think parker took the biggest hit because of the draft
Tom Kessenich: he went from a RB1 to a RB3
Matt Schauf: at best
Tom Kessenich: and his stock could fall even further before the start of the year
Jason Pliml: he might even lose the moniker "Fast"
Herbie Teope: Mendenhall is bigger than Paker and can operate between the tackles when the team is in close. Parker likely loses red zone carries.
Matt Schauf: Najeh Davenport's value really took a dump as well
Andy Behrens: Yup, demoted. Now he's just WP. No "F."
Louis Tranquilli: Parker lost them last year too, he's a value guy only
Andy Behrens: Yeah, Davenport is no longer number two.
Tom Kessenich: declining TDs, no role in the passing game, talented backup - not a good combination
Herbie Teope: Kevin Smith in Detroit? Only competition is the ever disappointing Tatum Bell. Detroit wants to run it more this season. Should be interesting to watch this summer how that pans out.
Matt Schauf: he'll always be No. 2
Matt Schauf: Kevin Smith is definitely the starter in Detroit
(Commish): Question from IM: what will Sweed do this year?
(Commish): Welcome to Gregg Rosenthal of Rotoworld
Brian Swaw: Not much I don't think
Tom Kessenich: tatum's a dog
Matt Schauf: work off the rust from his wrist injury
Louis Tranquilli: Score 5 Tds
(Commish): Full house -- thanks experts!
Ryan Brooks: Sweed does little
Brian Swaw: Lou I will give you a call this week been crazy personally lately
Louis Tranquilli: great, would be good to say hello
Jason Pliml: Reminder - scoring is NON-PPR
Matt Schauf: just realized the clock had started
Brian Swaw: sounds great
(Commish): Question from AIM: would any experts not take LT #1?
Brian Swaw: 1st draft underway nice to get back in saddle again
(Commish): Cue the Aerosmith
Louis Tranquilli: I would consider Jackson at #1
Matt Schauf: thanks for letting me not think with the first pick
Ryan Brooks: LT for me
Jason Pliml: In a PPR league, I might consider Westbrook, but I'd probably talk myself into LT
Matt Schauf: Jackson is way too big an injury risk for No. 1
Matt Schauf: I don't like Gore this year
Tom Kessenich: i love gore in martz's offense
(Commish): Question from e-mail: what is the latest you would take Brady?
Jason Pliml: Matt - if you turn on your speakers it will announce when it's your turn
Brian Swaw: Really I think Gore has nice bounce back year
Louis Tranquilli: Really? Is LT and injury risk now?
Matt Schauf: Martz is a RB killer
Jason Pliml: If Brady lasts to round 2, that's crazy
Matt Schauf: especially with a defense that won't stop anyone
Jason Pliml: meaning through round 1
(Commish): Herbie -- did you have to make that pick to avoid being run out of KC?
Gregg Rosenthal: i could see not taking brady in top 10.
(Commish): Question from e-mail: R. Grant at #6 questionable pick?
Herbie Teope: He made it by me. Not chasing last season's numbers with Brady. I'm thinking of Peyton Manning's season after the record 49 passes. I'll pass.
(Commish): I don't think Grant is a bad pick at No. 6. Who else is there to take at that spot?
Matt Schauf: I'm a little wary of overrating Grant, but he's certainly in a good offense
Matt Schauf: much better than McFadden right there
Jason Pliml: I think teams are going to force Rodgers to beat them early in the season
Brian Swaw: I think Grant suffers this year w/o Favre
Greg Bebezas: Me too
Gregg Rosenthal: I like Gore a lot better than Grant
Brian Swaw: Me too
Louis Tranquilli: Packers are RBBC, he was last man standing in 2007
(Commish): Would you guys agree that there's a big fall off after pick No. 5?
Matt Schauf: he didn't ever stop running
Matt Schauf: at least until the playoffs
Greg Bebezas: top 7
Matt Schauf: DeShawn Wynn going to take the job back?
Jason Pliml: I wouldn't say "fall off", rather uncertainty
Brian Swaw: I Really like Jacobs this year
Matt Schauf: Brandon Jackson?
Brian Swaw: top ten RB for me
Brian Swaw: Jacobs
(Commish): Question from AIM: who is everyone's number 2 WR?
Tom Kessenich: grant's the man in green bay. nobody else is as good as he is. the question is how good will rodgers be? the whole offense rides on that
Matt Schauf: wow, that announcer scared me
(Commish): Question for Greg Bebezas: Aren't you worried about Ronnie Brown's injury to make him a #1 pick?
Matt Schauf: hope he didn't wake my daughter
Brian Swaw: Lets not forget Grant couldn't break Giants roster last season that is why he ended up with Pack
Greg Bebezas: All signs say he'll be ready for training camp
Herbie Teope: My No. 2 is Terrell Owens.
Andy Behrens: Love the Space Ghost. Used to scare me, though.
Jason Pliml: :)
(Commish): Good call, Andy. I think you're the first to identify the voice
Andy Behrens: What do I win?
Brian Swaw: I couldn't pick the human time bomb Chad Johnson
Andy Behrens: Jamal Lewis?
Jason Pliml: I thought about Andre Johnson, but had same bye week as Housh, so I took Holt
Brian Swaw: he has 2-3 big games all year then he is gone
(Commish): Jamal Lewis: The gift that keeps on giving
Jason Pliml: like herpes
Louis Tranquilli: No this year. No NFC West to pummel
Brian Swaw: look how far 2 TD Parker has fell
Matt Schauf: let's not forget Priest Holmes couldn't break roster in Baltimore
Brian Swaw: thats not totally true he started there over 12 games before signing with Chiefs
Jason Pliml: don't bring facts into the argument
(Commish): Looking at that board, I can say one thing: I'm happy to not be drafting
Herbie Teope: I hate the 12 spot.
Jason Pliml: it's a downhill slide past round 3
(Commish): Question from the Commish: Where do ya'll rank McFadden among the rookie RBs? Would anyone take Stewart or Mendenhall ahead of him?
Andy Behrens: Hmm. Thought about Romo much earlier. Bet he'll go higher than R4P1 in most drafts.
Gregg Rosenthal: I would take stewart over him for 08
Matt Schauf: I like Stewart the best
Gregg Rosenthal: not in keeper leagues
Jason Pliml: the Oakland passing game is going to be awful again which means the running game will struggle
Brian Swaw: Stewart has biggest chance to make immediate impact
Matt Schauf: Kevin Smith maybe even second in redraft league
Jason Pliml: Russel could play offensive line he's so fat
(Commish): Question from e-mail: Bounce back year for reggie bush?
Jason Pliml: Love the J Jones pick
(Commish): They might need him to
Gregg Rosenthal: One thing that worries is me about Kevin Smith is a good situation doesnt guarantee anything - Eric Shelton, Brandon Jackson
(Commish): Move Russell to left tackle and line up McFadden in the wildcat
Matt Schauf: neither of those guys challenged NCAA rushing record
Gregg Rosenthal: neither of them had 450 carries last year
(Commish): They would've if they played at Central Florida
Matt Schauf: Jackson was a real part-timer who came out early
(Commish): Question fro Tom Kessenich: Is Reggie Wayne not the safest WR pick in this years draft? Edwards over him?
Herbie Teope: If Bush stays healthy, which he didn't last season, he'll be fine. He's in a prolific offense for sure, so he'll be plenty involved.
Matt Schauf: I'm not big on Bush unless it's PPR
Ryan Brooks: I think Wayne is the safest pick and have him #2 behind Moss
Tom Kessenich: I thought hard about taking Wayne but I think Edwards is a monster. I could see him finishing No. 1 at WR this year. I don't think you can go wrong with either guy but I like Edwards' TD potential more than Wayne's.
Tom Kessenich: In a PPR league, I would've taken Wayne
Matt Schauf: and I'll take a chance with Marvin's knees in Round 5
(Commish): Question from the Commish: Where does Jennings go if Favre is the QB in GB?
Jason Pliml: mid 3rd
Matt Schauf: I'm skeptical he can keep up the TD total on relatively few catches
Jason Pliml: early 4th at the latest
Andy Behrens: Yeah, that gave me pause, for sure.
Matt Schauf: though I've heard Rodgers actually throws a better deep ball
Matt Schauf: that's a crowded receiver group in GB
Matt Schauf: especially with Jordy Nelson aboard
Jason Pliml: Lou - I thought you were a trend setter. You should have broken the ice with a kicker there :)
Brian Swaw: Jones has to be better this year doesn't he
Brian Swaw: thomas Jones that is
Louis Tranquilli: Im trendy, but just not to that level
Brian Swaw: I wanted Gates there Pliml
Matt Schauf: Jets must think so, since they ignored the position this weekend
Jason Pliml: tell you what, you can buy me a beer and we'll call it even.....
Brian Swaw: That is what I am thinking
Matt Schauf: oh wait, they got Danny Woodhead ...
Brian Swaw: at the Bend I will buy you two
Jason Pliml: that'll set you back $0.45
Brian Swaw: and a bag of pork rines
Matt Schauf: I was tempted to take Calvin right after Roy and change my last name to Millen
(Commish): Question from e-mail: Was Wittens break out year the best thing that ever happened to Gates Value?
(Commish): I'll add a little to that: How much is the rise of Winslow/Witten and how much is the toe surgery?
Jason Pliml: I wouldn't call Witten's year last year a break out -- he caught plenty of passes the year before, just no TDs
Gregg Rosenthal: I also think the depth at TE is a big factor
(Commish): Will Gates be a 5th-rounder if he shows up to camp 100 percent healthy?
Matt Schauf: I'll never get Gates in a draft, because I won't go TE that high
Gregg Rosenthal: he was a good value there - i think he'll go higher usually
(Commish): Question from e-mail: Will Derek Anderson repeat his gawdy numbers from last year
Matt Schauf: no
Louis Tranquilli: no
Greg Bebezas: no, his stats leveled off 2nd half of the year
Gregg Rosenthal: not drafting any qb early that could lose his job
Jason Pliml: nooooo. Wanted Kevin Smith
Louis Tranquilli: schedule is MUCH harder.
Brian Swaw: How old is Joey Galloway now
Matt Schauf: I was surprised he was still around
Louis Tranquilli: 37
Brian Swaw: he has to be older than me
Jason Pliml: not as old as Miguel Tejada
Brian Swaw: or Soriano
(Commish): I think Bowe is a good value there
(Commish): How many rookie RBs is that now? Six?
Louis Tranquilli: too many
Louis Tranquilli: IMO
(Commish): The big four and Forte/Smith?
Louis Tranquilli: :)
Andy Behrens: Forte and K. Smith in R6. Hmm. Those two could be going higher in 4 months.
(Commish): How much of that is the post-draft hype and how much of that will hold until August?
Matt Schauf: I put Smith among the top three for this year
Gregg Rosenthal: I think Forte will wind up higher
Brian Swaw: They both have alot to prove at NFL level considering the soft NCAA schedule they played
Matt Schauf: I see Forte/Benson like Jones/Benson in 2006
Ryan Brooks: You guys got me excited about the Young Galloway
Andy Behrens: Some of that will be irrational Bears fan enthusiasm, some will be role.
(Commish): Just a reminder to our viewers: Fantasy football mock drafts are available 24x7x365 here at MDC
(Commish): Question from e-mail: Brady and Manning are the top 2 QB's. Considering the Chad Johnson situation, lets ignore Carson Palmer. After Brady and Manning, who's the 3rd best QB? (My pick is Romo)
Brian Swaw: I am here in Chicago they can't wait to run Cedric the entertainer out of town
Louis Tranquilli: You cant kill galloway, and no competition for catches
Brian Swaw: I mean benson, same thing they have same 40 time
(Commish): To answer our last question: I think Romo will be the No. 3 QB in most drafts
(Commish): Can't see anyone passing him
Brian Swaw: to high for me
Brian Swaw: I will take Brees and Palmer over Romo
Herbie Teope: I'll take Romo - especially since I took him as the third QB off the board lol
(Commish): You're just pissed because you wanted Jessica
Gregg Rosenthal: I'll take Palmer ahead of Romo
Matt Schauf: I like Romo with the WR questions in Cincy
(Commish): Nice pick, Greg
(Commish): I really like Gonzalez this year
Brian Swaw: what WR questions when the season starts no way CJ and HOush sit out with 8-10 mil on table
(Commish): Question from AIM: Best landing spot for KJ and SA?
Matt Schauf: not worried about Housh, but I'm not putting money on Chad either way
Greg Bebezas: thanks, you have to like his Qb
Matt Schauf: besides, they were on the field last season when Palmer's passes weren't
(Commish): I imagine that's the two free-agent RBs Jones and Alexander
Brian Swaw: Housh contract is up next year more worries about him sitting than CJ even with all talk
Matt Schauf: we'll see
(Commish): It's starting to get ugly
Louis Tranquilli: this guy is nuts, but I love his potential in the offense for 2008 (Jerry Porter)
Brian Swaw: I like Porter this year 2 can see him sneak into top 25 wr's this season if things go right in JAX
(Commish): I thought Vinnie would go way before 8.12 -- nice pick
Herbie Teope: Sore spot for me surrounding Alexander, since I am a die-hard Seahawker through and through. Tough to say where he lands because he'll have to take a pay cut and he won't be the man. He's on the downside of his career, but could help a team in need of a veteran. As to where that is, it remains to be seen.
Brian Swaw: NOt with Chambers there full season he is now 4th option behind LT, Gates, Chambers
Matt Schauf: I don't usually like a defense this early, but I wasn't crazy about other options and figured I'd lay claim to the No. 1 fantasy defense of 2008
(Commish): He's a viable No.2 or 3 WR, imo
Jason Pliml: The Vikes D should be really good and they play in a turnover happy division
Louis Tranquilli: Look at the Qbs they play. Ugly. Too bad they cant play their own too.
Matt Schauf: I don't see Jackson behind Chambers
Matt Schauf: and we'll see if Gates is healthy
Louis Tranquilli: The Jackson/Chambers call is interetsing when you consider Gates health.
(Commish): Tom -- best landing spot for KJ?
Jason Pliml: Tom's keeping a candle lit in the window for Kevin Jones
Brian Swaw: Gates will be ready for camp and chambers working with Rivers for full year will do wonders Jackson dropped so many balls last season
(Commish): Detroit? :-)
Matt Schauf: if Kevin Jones doesn't sign somewhere this week, I'll be worried about him
Louis Tranquilli: The IR
Tom Kessenich: that's a pick you make in april :)
Matt Schauf: Chambers can't catch 50% generally
Brian Swaw: Look for Denver or Chicago to make play for KJ
Tom Kessenich: RBs are pretty much garbage at this point. Might as well roll the dice on Jones
Matt Schauf: team that could use Jones most right now is probably Detroit
Brian Swaw: Matt I think we should make friendly wager Chambers vs. Jackson fantasy points with PPR
Tom Kessenich: Houston would be a great fit. Not only do they need a starter but maybe Jones, Green and Brown could combine for 16 healthy games
Tom Kessenich: maybe
Brian Swaw: LOL that is great
(Commish): Question for e-mail: Where is the value for qbs this year?
Brian Swaw: I bet D. Rhodes signs within a week
Jason Pliml: was hoping to grab Garrard - nice pick Herbie
Matt Schauf: I'm down, Brian
Matt Schauf: I do think they'll be close, though
(Commish): QB is ugly
Jason Pliml: Flacco will be available late...
Brian Swaw: sounds great lets keep in touch brian@gametimedecisions.net
Herbie Teope: Thanks, Jason. Garrard was one of the safest plays last season if you were looking for 14-17 points on a weekly basis.
Louis Tranquilli: QB needs to replace RB #3 in many cases. The RB #'s are falling hard.
Louis Tranquilli: Cannot escape the RBBC
Jason Pliml: I think Kurt Warner is worth a late round flyer. Not only does Leinart look very out of shape and unmotivated, but he has very bad taste in chicks
Matt Schauf: I like Delhomme and Schaub as sleepers
(Commish): Seeing as we've reached the double-digit rounds, I invite our experts to plug anything their fine sites have going
(Commish): Warner's taste in chicks isn't the best either -- just saying
Matt Schauf: I'll be putting out rookie rankings for offense and IDP over the next week and a half
Tom Kessenich: whole bunch of stuff for us - the national fantasy football championship is in its fifth year and we are also unveiling the nbc sports fantasy football championship as well
Jason Pliml: MockDraftCentral.com - live mock drafts, the freshest ADP and we have Geoff
Brian Swaw: We are releasing our 1st player ranking and the start of our draft guide this weekend
Tom Kessenich: two events in one day to win $100,000. :)
Matt Schauf: keeper rankings to be updated
Matt Schauf: draft kit has already been released and will be updated in pieces
Matt Schauf: sorry, though, no money
Matt Schauf: I'll take donations, however
Jason Pliml: cool - our software put Tatum Bell on my bench, right where he belongs :)
(Commish): I haven't had a chance to win $100,000 twice in one day since those two 20-team parlays
Louis Tranquilli: My Bif Fantasy News. Set up your own links (even to other advice sites)http://www.bfdfantasyfootball.com/site/mynews.aspx
Herbie Teope: Time Warner Cable (Kansas City) & Metro Sports goes live with our fantasy coverage May 1 found on our website. Our weekly TV show, Fantasy Huddle, seen regionally in the greater Kansas City area on Time Warner Cable and Comcast returns the first Thursday in August.
Louis Tranquilli: My Big Fantasy News-it's a cool feature...
Louis Tranquilli: Thanks for the Plug allowance!
(Commish): Hollywood Herbie = television star!
Herbie Teope: Ummm, yeah.
Herbie Teope: The Commish must be Mr. Stein.
(Commish): Correct
(Commish): :-)
Herbie Teope: Channel 30 for the basic TWC subscribers - channel 130 for the premium TWC subsrcribers.
(Commish): Jerious Norwood is still available? Didn't realize we had 12 Bobby Petrinos drafting
Matt Schauf: I'm outta here
Matt Schauf: (Petrino impression)
Jason Pliml: He's in my queue, but I foresook him for Tatum Bell
(Commish): If that quote doesn't sum up the '08 FF season, I don't know what does
(Commish): Question from IM: who are some late round players to watch that can move up by draft day
Louis Tranquilli: The RBBC is like the 6 inning pitcher in Fantasy Baseball
Herbie Teope: Westbrook can't stay healthy for two straight seasons, can he?
(Commish): Adding Booker was a nice pickup for Philly
Jason Pliml: pretty early to say - depends on trades and training camp a bit, but one key is to look for rookie signing holdouts
(Commish): How the mighty have fallen....
Jason Pliml: yeah, Justin Gage really has tumbled
(Commish): I think he goes higher in the fantasy hoops drafts
(Commish): Oh Dalton....
Jason Pliml: dammit Swaw
(Commish): I always liked Torain at ASU
Jason Pliml: I like Joey Gathright in Fantasy Car Jumping
(Commish): Reminds me a lot of Chris Brown
Brian Swaw: Sorry couldn't pass Turner the burner has some real health concerns dating back to his days at NIU and with CHargers I think he will be over valued in a lot of drafts
Dalton Del Don: hope he doesn't get hurt like chris brown
Herbie Teope: Too late. Louis picked him. Branch in Round 12 is solid value.
(Commish): Question from IM: how high will peyton manning go in dynasty leagues
(Commish): Torain had problems staying healthy in college -- has that straight up running style that gets him killed
Jason Pliml: early 2nd, maybe late first
Matt Schauf: Manning still has plenty of years left
Matt Schauf: better shelf life than a running back
Herbie Teope: In a dynasty league draft? If he's not already on a roster, he's still a top-3 QB pick if this is the initial dynasty draft. He's in his prime years.
Jason Pliml: Eli Manning will be overvalued though
Matt Schauf: like always
Jason Pliml: That run last playoffs was not sustainable
(Commish): Question from AIM: how high will ronnie brown go due to his injury -- dynasty league
Matt Schauf: nor real in fantasy numbers
Matt Schauf: pretty high dynasty, I think
Matt Schauf: late second in redraft
Herbie Teope: I want my Round 12 pick. Friggin Ginn Jr., over Branch. Wow. I'm blind. Didn't see Branch in the que.
Matt Schauf: weak, I thought Pierre would be around for me
(Commish): Question from e-mail: Who are the break out qbs this year?
Jason Pliml: better question - will people still be handcuffing Ricky Williams 10 years from now?
Louis Tranquilli: Only the Police
Matt Schauf: depends on to what
Matt Schauf: no kicker should be picked before the final round
Jason Pliml: I like Jason Campbell and Brian Brohm (there, I said it)
Jason Pliml: I feel like that's off my chest now
(Commish): I think Campbell will be the sleeper QB of choice this preseason
Matt Schauf: I think he might be overrated because his receivers are rookies or midgets
Jason Pliml: this just in, Barry Zito is now the worst reliever in baseball
(Commish): True
Louis Tranquilli: I dont like Campbell in the WCO. How about Alex Smith/Shaun Hill with Mad Mike calling plays?
Matt Schauf: I do like him, though
Tom Kessenich: antwaan randle el is not a midget. he is a little person
Matt Schauf: 2009 on Campbell
Brian Swaw: just wanted to say this software works like a charm best way to draft
(Commish): All comes down to the line with Martz' offense
Jason Pliml: thx
(Commish): A lot depends on whether or not Staley develops at LT
Jason Pliml: just means Gore will get 4 carries a game
Louis Tranquilli: They are better than you think out there. he'll have a hard time screwing the line up
Louis Tranquilli: but he'll try
(Commish): I'm a big Joe Staley guy, I'm a MAC homer
Matt Schauf: the line is screwing itself up right now
Jason Pliml: it's true, Geoff really is a MAC homer
Matt Schauf: isn't Staley still on the right for the time being
Gregg Rosenthal: staley is at lt
Louis Tranquilli: True. Is Larry Allen a good thing if he comes back?
(Commish): Question from AIM: top rookie WR this year?
Gregg Rosenthal: thomas
Matt Schauf: Avery or James Hardy
Gregg Rosenthal: and he might not be draftable
Brian Swaw: there aren't many good ones
Matt Schauf: I agree
Matt Schauf: no one good
Ryan Brooks: Avery might be in the best position
(Commish): Hardy interests me
Matt Schauf: I'm leaning Hardy
Louis Tranquilli: Doesnt seem like any went to good FF situations
Brian Swaw: as Eddie Royal from Denver
Ryan Brooks: don't trust any of them
Brian Swaw: and Bennett from Bears
(Commish): Question from AIM: how high do you rank larry fitzgerald in dyansty leagues
Brian Swaw: I wouldn't draft any of them
Matt Schauf: very
Brian Swaw: DOn't ask me Ilove the guy
Brian Swaw: I like him 2 or 3 overall WR
Louis Tranquilli: Fitz is 1 or 2 with braylon
Brian Swaw: I agree
(Commish): Well, Matt puts his money where his mouth is
Matt Schauf: I just debated Hardy/Avery and leaned Hardy on height
Matt Schauf: better chance to cash in on a spot start
Matt Schauf: I also wanted Giants' Steve Smith
Matt Schauf: is it OK to not pick a kicker?
Brian Swaw: I love the % on the kickers this season
Matt Schauf: I'll send Warren Sapp out there
(Commish): Herbie -- who is a better handcuff for LJ: Smith or Charles?
Matt Schauf: smith
Jason Pliml: always adding new features man
Matt Schauf: Charles is a change of pace
Matt Schauf: didn't even do it for a full season in college
(Commish): He could have
Matt Schauf: Obomanu is a candidate for potential late-round riser
(Commish): He carried my fantasy college team in the middle weeks last year
Matt Schauf: as soon as he beats out Nate Burleson
Tom Kessenich: lots of fun tonight guys. thanks for the invite
(Commish): Thanks, Tom
Gregg Rosenthal: Thanks everyone
(Commish): Thanks to all the experts for joining us
Andy Behrens: Thanks, all.
Gregg Rosenthal: Especially Jason and MDC
Louis Tranquilli: Thanks to you all.
Herbie Teope: For now, I'd go with Smith. Charles is likely the heir-apparent. Should know more as OTAs shape up leading to July training camp in River Falls, Wis.
Greg Bebezas: Thanks MDC. Nice start to the season!
(Commish): THanks, Greg
(Commish): Happy Football!
Jason Pliml: Off and running.
(Commish): Kicker run!
Herbie Teope: Good drafting with everyone. See you all around. Tom - answer your phone, darn it. I always get your voice mail!
Brian Swaw: thanks again
Jason Pliml: Had Lee queued right before Olsen
(Commish): Tom is always on the other line with chicks, Herbie
Louis Tranquilli: Sorry man, I like Lee in the 16th
Jason Pliml: np. good pick
(Commish): Olsen in the 16th is good value
Matt Schauf: take it easy, guys ... as others said, thanks for the invite
Herbie Teope: Good draft, Geoff and Jason. Thanks.
(Commish): Thanks, Herbie
