(Commish): Welcome to Matt Schauf of Sports Buff
Matt Schauf: thanks ... three times here, three times No. 1
Matt Schauf: I wouldn't mind having to think about my first round pick one of these times, you know
(Commish): Welcome to Louis Tranquilli of BFD Fantasy
Louis Tranquilli: thanks John Duckworth sitting in for Lou tonight
(Commish): Welcome, John
Louis Tranquilli: ty
Bob Harris: Bob Harris sitting in for Bob Harris.
Bob Harris: Greetings all
(Commish): Welcome to Bob Harris of Football Diehards
(Commish): Is it Football Diehards or Football Die Hards?
(Commish): Welcome to David Dodds of Football Guys
Bob Harris: One word is good
(Commish): :-) Gotcha
David Dodds: thanks for the invite
David Dodds: Howdy Bob
Bob Harris: Hey David! All well?
(Commish): Welcome to Tim Williams of AccuScore
Tim Williams: Hey everyone
David Dodds: yes, busy time. But you know that. Hope all is well with you too
Tim Williams: thanks for the invite
Bob Harris: No complaints David. ... Eager to hone my strategy tonight (--:
(Commish): I'll throw out the first question of the night: What does today's trade do to the draft value of Jeremy Shockey?
Bob Harris: Seems like Sean Payton was much more willing to use him downfield (as Giants OC) than Coughlin.
Bob Harris: Good move for all involved.
David Dodds: I think Shockey moves up slightly on the news. Obviously Kevin Boss now becomes darftable too. Eric Johnson is worthless now
(Commish): Welcome to Jeff Erickson of Rotowire
(Commish): Welcome to Greg Bebezas of Fantasy Football Times.
Greg Bebezas: hi guys, goo luck
Matt Schauf: their wideouts haven't been as good as the offense on whole the past couple of years
Bob Harris: I agree with Matt
(Commish): Question from AIM: what tier is kevin boss now on
Louis Tranquilli: should keep some safetys off Colston
Matt Schauf: I don't know if I'd put Boss much past John Carlson and Zach Miller
Bob Harris: I'd move him into the second tier at this point.
Tim Williams: Bush isn't going to be running up the middle, he'll be going around the end, so Shockey's blocking will help a bit. The guy who improves the most is Colston. Shockey will take some coverage away over the middle, opening Colston up for some one on one coverage.
(Commish): Question from AIM: what thre taylor trade does for the skins and what does this mean for the fins can we expect an other 1-15 season?
Matt Schauf: the Miami defense will stink
Matt Schauf: Washington should be OK, but I still don't love it
Matt Schauf: there's not a healthy corner on the team
Matt Schauf: and I don't know about their safeties in coverage
(Commish): Welcome to David Gonos of Open Sports
Matt Schauf: I think they'll have a little trouble creating turnovers
Matt Schauf: sacks should be no trouble, though
David Gonos: G'd-evenin' all!
Matt Schauf: howdy
Matt Schauf: Andre Carter gets a bit of an IDP boost, too
James Rathbone: How's it going guys
(Commish): Welcome to James Rathbone of Fantasy Football In Depth
Bob Harris: Hello David, James.
Matt Schauf: anyone else's daughter screaming instead of going to sleep?
James Rathbone: This is actually Justin Shamlall, i'm subbing for my partner tonight
(Commish): Welcome, Justin
James Rathbone: ok thanks
Jeff Erickson: heh, I'm west coast - my two little hurricanes, er, daughters, haven't gotten home yet
Jeff Erickson: I'm praying for a quick draft
(Commish): Question for Jeff Erickson: as someone who knows they will be drafting in the 5 hole Jeff, how do u feel about going barber at the 5 and then would suggest a WR or a RB in the 2nd?
(Commish): Welcome to Dustin Ashby of WCOFF
Jeff Erickson: I have Barber lower than 5
Jeff Erickson: I have him solidly in that next tier of backs
Dustin Ashby: Good evening everyone
Matt Schauf: howdy
Bob Harris: Hey Dustin
James Rathbone: How's it going?
Matt Schauf: I especially wouldn't go Barber at 5 in a PPR
Jeff Erickson: agreed
Matt Schauf: maybe in point-per-dread
Greg Bebezas: barber's tds will make up fo rit
Bob Harris: Point-per straight arm for Barber
Matt Schauf: I think Barber picks up extra injury worries this year too, though
Matt Schauf: he'll carry the ball more than he has
(Commish): Question from AIM: what's the chances of Farve going to the Vikings?
Matt Schauf: 0
Matt Schauf: %
Will Brinson: And that's right. Addai
Bob Harris: I think Favre remains retired
James Rathbone: No chance
(Commish): They won't release him or trade him to a divsion rival
(Commish): So, I agree, zero percent
Matt Schauf: this is the first draft I've done where Brady didn't go first round
(Commish): Question from e-mail: everyone's 1st round bust for this year?
Tim Williams: I usually go with a RB in the first two, but couldn't pass up Brady there
Bob Harris: Brady my first-round bust
Matt Schauf: in non-PPR, Frank Gore
Dustin Ashby: Frank Gore
Will Brinson: Moss = first round bust by way of Brady
James Rathbone: Too much expected from Brady, he will hover around 35 TD's
Matt Schauf: that would still lead the league
Greg Bebezas: ryan grant
Greg Bebezas: overvalued
Bob Harris: Brady will be great; just not first-round great
James Rathbone: Manning and Romo will stay very close
(Commish): Question from AIM: Do you guys think all leagues should be PPR leagues?
Tim Williams: Randy Moss, regardless of the numbers a WR in the 1st is ridiculous
Will Brinson: Well, it's going to happen a lot
Will Brinson: Although I agree
Matt Schauf: that's OLD school thinkin'
Bob Harris: Yes. All PPR
Jeff Erickson: I prefer PPR leagues, 2-QB leagues, keeper leagues, anything that varies the format
David Dodds: my thoughts exactly
Matt Schauf: running backs can be had later now
Matt Schauf: value is more widespread
(Commish): Question from e-mail: best draft position this year?
David Dodds: #1 like it is every year
(Commish): Question from e-mail: Is Randy Moss a decent selection at pick #5 in PPR?
Greg Bebezas: no
(Commish): Still think you have to go with whatever RB falls
Matt Schauf: I think so, but these other guys don't
Will Brinson: no
David Dodds: no, but is worth a late 1st round pick (like I did)
Jeff Erickson: if you do 3RR, then it's wide-open as to what the best spot is
(Commish): Question from AIM: which group is thinner this year, RB or WR?
Greg Bebezas: wr
Greg Bebezas: by far
Greg Bebezas: there's really only a dozen top wrs
Matt Schauf: I agree, comparatively
(Commish): Question from e-mail: When do you take a QB in non-ppr league, 6 pts for a pass TD?
Matt Schauf: relatively, I should say
Matt Schauf: Brady in Round 1
Matt Schauf: I'm thinking about 6th
David Dodds: Brady goes in the 1st round and early in that scenario
James Rathbone: Hold out for Romo... he will only be a few td's behind brady
(Commish): Question for Jeff Erickson: turner over edge or lewis? what do u see jeff?
Jeff Erickson: younger legs, potential for receptions
(Commish): I'd add the fact that he's not Jamal Lewis or Edgerrin James as well
Jeff Erickson: I think Lewis is this year's "don't chase last year's stats" guys
(Commish): Question for Jeff Erickson: and who do u see as there week 1 QB? (Atlanta)
Matt Schauf: I agree, although there's no reason his awesome line should be any worse
(Commish): Holt at 3.11 -- nice
Matt Schauf: tougher competition for the Browns, though
David Dodds: thanks
(Commish): Question from AIM: how big a hit do GB players take without Farve at the helm?
Matt Schauf: I think Greg Jennings disappoints this year
Greg Bebezas: ya, lewis wasn't productive until the end of the year, so it helped his stats
(Commish): Question for Will Brinson: How do you justify Addai at #2 when Westbrook & Jackson will catch more balls & have about the same TD's & total yards? Also, AP ran for over 1,300 yards & started 9 games
Jeff Erickson: ATL QB - Steve Bartkowski
Matt Schauf: also, Addai will share more touches
Will Brinson: I love how Westbrook is suddenly this ideal of consistency when just two or three years ago, he dropped like a stone because of injury worries
Matt Schauf: every single back in the first round comes with injury worry
Will Brinson: Steven Jackson has done nothing to merit my trusting him and Addai, in my mind, is going to do what Edge did for years, which is week in/week out strong production
Jeff Erickson: occupational hazard
Matt Schauf: maybe not Grant
(Commish): Comment from AIM: i agree with westbrook. had he done that kneel down at the 1 with me, I'd cut his butt.
Matt Schauf: Addai will still lose some goal-line carries
Will Brinson: If you look at AP's stats, they were also up and down -- great up and down mind you -- but up and down nonetheless, and with Tavaris manning the signals, he's going to see stacked fronts every week
Jeff Erickson: I would have taken addai over Jackson if given the choice
(Commish): Agreed
Matt Schauf: I'd have taken Westbrook 2 with PPR
James Rathbone: I agree
Bob Harris: Me too (Westbrook 2)
Tim Williams: I agree on Westbrook at 2
(Commish): Question from AIM: Is McNabb really going to come back and be the old McNabb?
Matt Schauf: I don't think most people really know the old McNabb
James Rathbone: The old McNabb was still always injured.. but I expect improvement
Matt Schauf: he's likely to miss a couple of games, and he'll throw somewhere in the range of 22 TDs / 8 INTs
James Rathbone: from last year that is
(Commish): Comment from AIM: i can tell ya i won't be wasting a Mcstink pick on him!
Tim Williams: Who is the old McNabb? He's only topped 21 touchdowns twice in his career
Will Brinson: McNabb is overrated because his Thriller end zone dance is so spectacular
(Commish): Comment from AIM: I hope everyone in my leauges think like you guys and think Moss will be a 1st round bust. No one had faith in him last year and it paid off nicely for me. Moss at 11 is redonkulous.
Jeff Erickson: where does said AIM'er think Moss should slot?
Matt Schauf: he's also had dog-ass receivers for most of his career
Jeff Erickson: (like the Kevin Smith, btw)
Will Brinson: second the kevin smith
Jeff Erickson: pick, that is
Matt Schauf: thanks, most people don't seem too
Greg Bebezas: moss is worth a late round pick, because you have as much chance at getting a rb1 late 1st as you do early 2nd
Bob Harris: Agree with Greg
James Rathbone: That was a great spot for Moss, he will not repeat his 23 td's
Greg Bebezas: even if he misses 2 games...he's still 10-15 tds
Tim Williams: I agree James
Jeff Erickson: d'oh ... Brian....
Greg Bebezas: great value for gates
Matt Schauf: Moss could drop 8 TDs from last year and still potentially lead the league
Brian Swaw: Time to get 'em
James Rathbone: agree on gates
Brian Swaw: didnt like the WR's
Brian Swaw: alredy pulled the trigger on my QB
David Gonos: i was all giddy with excitement over the prospects of getting Gates there -- booooo!
Jeff Erickson: sigh... I'll be that guy
(Commish): McFadden has the widest draft value of any player
(Commish): Seen him go early-second to early-sixth
Matt Schauf: I like that McFadden was the third rookie back this time
Matt Schauf: I think that's where he belongs, maybe behind Forte without PPR
(Commish): Question from AIM: what are some sleeper WR this year?
Jeff Erickson: I love the talent there, and OAK did run the ball well at least last year
Jeff Erickson: but yeah, the flaws are apparent
Greg Bebezas: ask me after the draft, so i can still get them : )
Matt Schauf: yeah, ask that later
Matt Schauf: I'll say now that I like Robert Meachem, though
Matt Schauf: I'll take a shot on Devin Hester in the double-digit rounds
Matt Schauf: even though I don't inflate his TD totals like Brian tries to
James Rathbone: I like Hester late also
(Commish): Question from AIM: Is shockey in for a blowup year?
Matt Schauf: emotionally?
Matt Schauf: mentally?
Jeff Erickson: yeah, he'll blow up to 270 lbs
Matt Schauf: might as well go ahead and nickname him Hurricane in NO
Jeff Erickson: actually, I think that the trade helps him
(Commish): Comment from AIM: is this a keeper leaguer? cause McFadden i think is gonna be sitting later Jeff, i would have grabbed the elite QB or ur 3rd WR
Jeff Erickson: but blowup, no
Will Brinson: Wow. What a strong "Hurricane" comment.
James Rathbone: it does help him, yet still a precarious situation
(Commish): Health is still a key, as well
Matt Schauf: sorry, I was thinking of the drink, not Katrina
Matt Schauf: my bad
Matt Schauf: I'm a jerk
Jeff Erickson: i knew where you were going with that one
(Commish): Pour me something tall and strong, make it a hurricane...
Will Brinson: I'm not offended, just wondering if it was too soon.
David Dodds: loving how fast this thing is going. This software really is nice
Matt Schauf: yeah, I just didn't even think of that
(Commish): Expect protesters outside the Sports Buff offices tomorrow morning
Will Brinson: Family Guy and South Park already did it, I suppose you're alright
Bob Harris: I've participated in five drafts here this year. Great site; great technology
Matt Schauf: that's OK, I work remotely
James Rathbone: yeah this is great
(Commish): Comment from AIM: Moss is worthy of being picked as high as #2 overall but I could see if you didn't want to take him that high but he should not be falling any lower than 7th. Do you want 350 pts from a stud WR or take your shot at a 50% chance your RB will crap out on you...personally I will take the 350 pts over a 50/50 shot my RB will score me 300 or score me 150 and get injured.
(Commish): Thanks, Bob
David Dodds: I guess that's a vote for me...lol
Brian Swaw: Who needs a QB? Everybody
Matt Schauf: ready boys?
(Commish): The screen name was actually MrsDodds22
Brian Swaw: I'll trade you Big Ben for one of your WR
David Dodds: smiles...I will take whatever support I can get
(Commish): Comment from AIM: Brinson, I like your strategy of RB, WR,WR. I have 2nd spot and thats what I'm gonna use
(Commish): I think RB, WR, WR is what you have to do out of the No. 2 slot in a PPR
(Commish): Not a lot of RB talent in the late-second
Will Brinson: Well, I usually go RB-RB, but I liked the group of second tier RBs that I was going to be able to grab in the fourth and yes, PPR
James Rathbone: That's exactly what i did in one of my leagues with that pick also
(Commish): Let me rephrase that -- RBs worthy of being drafted late-second
Matt Schauf: I like not sticking to a position strategy
Jeff Erickson: likewise
Jeff Erickson: drat, though - wanted Clark there
Matt Schauf: I just rank my players and follow it
Matt Schauf: loosely
(Commish): Comment from AIM: with a stud RB you won't need too many #2RB's
Will Brinson: Right; it wasn't preplanned. But how can I justify taking Jacobs, Lewis, etc over someone like Jones later and costing myself a significant drop in WR value?
Matt Schauf: everyone needs multiple backs
Matt Schauf: that was to the AIM comment
James Rathbone: In response to the ealier question Bobby Engram was one of my sleepers but someone just grabbed him
Bob Harris: Engram a solid PPR play
Tim Williams: I like Engram as a sleeper this year as well, especially in PPR
Will Brinson: See, that's the thing about the push for WRs and QBs this year -- you can absolutely stack up on RBs and having multiple guys that you can plug in at RB is vastly more important than WR imho
Matt Schauf: Reggie Williams is a HUGE sleeper ....
Matt Schauf: I really hope no one right in front of me in Round 8 takes him ...
(Commish): Question from AIM: better QB big ben or derrick anderson
Greg Bebezas: ben
Matt Schauf: I'm avoiding both this year
Matt Schauf: I agree the Ben is better in general
James Rathbone: I as well
Tim Williams: Ben, I like them both
Jeff Erickson: Roethlisberger
(Commish): Who are some guys you target, Matt?
Bob Harris: Both going pretty high this year; higher than I like
Greg Bebezas: ya, no need to reach for either
Matt Schauf: if I miss out on the top four, I'm waiting for someone like McNabb, Garrard, Delhomme later
Jeff Erickson: Now I like Burleson quite a bit this year
Matt Schauf: I was wondering if Vincent Jackson would make it to me
Matt Schauf: I don't like Burleson at all
Brian Swaw: I was hoping for Burleson..
Matt Schauf: he has crumbled when relied upon thus far in his career
James Rathbone: someone has to catch the balls in Seattle other than Engram
Matt Schauf: someone had to catch them in Minny after Moss left
Matt Schauf: and it didn't end up being Burleson
James Rathbone: not the same system
James Rathbone: very differant
Matt Schauf: someone had to catch balls when Branch went down last year, and it wasn't Burleson
Matt Schauf: check the game log from last year
James Rathbone: different*
Matt Schauf: he gets his when there are better options around
James Rathbone: yeah but he found the end zone
Matt Schauf: he did in Moss' last Viking season, too
Greg Bebezas: i think hasselbeck is setup to disappoint owners this season
Greg Bebezas: because of the lack of WRs
Will Brinson: I'm willing to gamble on Martz and Smith there I suppose
James Rathbone: Branch and Hackett were always injured
James Rathbone: he did just fine
Tim Williams: I disagree, Hasselbeck will be solid, he gets a lot of chances and doesn't make many mistakes
Greg Bebezas: you can only get by like that for so long though
Greg Bebezas: his upside is weak for a qb1
Matt Schauf: his downside is shorter than most, though
(Commish): Since our viewer questions have dried up, I invite our experts to plug their sites and what they have going on
Greg Bebezas: to answer a previous viewer question...hackett is one of my big wr sleepers
Jeff Erickson: Like the Hackett pick
Matt Schauf: new draft kit items are coming out weekly at Sports Buff
Jeff Erickson: on my short list
Matt Schauf: team previews about to start
James Rathbone: I like hackett too
Will Brinson: Fleaflicker.com. Free. And perfect.
Tim Williams: last year only one guy threw for more yards, touchdowns, and fewer ints than Hasselbeck, and that was Brady
(Commish): Perfect sounds nice
Will Brinson: Exactly. Can't beat perfect.
Jeff Erickson: Our Draft Kit is up on the site at RotoWire, and Chris Liss' radio show on XM144 is now on Mon-Fri at 2:00 pm ET
Matt Schauf: Jeff Thomas and I will also soon launch FantasySportsBusiness.com
Greg Bebezas: Check out: FantasyFootballTimes.com 6th Annual 2008 Draft Guide
Will Brinson: Oh, and I'm shaking my Cajun chicken leg angrily at you Bob Harris
Matt Schauf: covering the industry more completely
Will Brinson: Let me rephrase that.
Will Brinson: I wanted Delhomme
(Commish): Question from AIM: how important is handcuffing this year
Matt Schauf: crap, I thought the Viking D would make it back to me
Matt Schauf: I think handcuffing is overrated
Bob Harris: Not a big handcuffer but I wouldn't get Leinart without Warner
Will Brinson: Handcuffing, with the increase in RBBC's, is almost silly, except for backing up a stud
Jeff Erickson: likewise on handcuffing
Matt Schauf: and I think Deuce is D-U-N
(Commish): Comment from AIM: I can't believe I actually heard someone from the "expert group" say no WR is worth a 1st round pick. I once drafted 4 WR's in the 1st 4 rounds in a high stakes draft and would have walked away with $15,000 if I had not picked the wrong kicker in 1 of the playoff weeks...Yes I took 4 WR's to open my draft and got laughed at but I was the one who almost walked away with all the cash missed it by a few points on the night just after Favre's dad died.
Will Brinson: I wonder what the guy who won took in his first four rounds
Matt Schauf: that said on handcuffing, if you're looking at backs later, it just makes sense to pick the handcuff, all other things relatively equal
Jeff Erickson: that's cool that it almost worked for you, and I'm sure that it *can* work in a PPR, but I'm a little too risk-averse to go that route
Will Brinson: You can take WRs early but it's about what the market dictates and whether or not you're getting good value
Will Brinson: Would be the non-jerkstore answer
Matt Schauf: right, it's all about following the value
Tim Williams: I don't like taking a WR in the 1st because the drop off from a 1st rd WR to a 3rd rd WR is bigger than the dropoff for RBs
Matt Schauf: not the positions
Greg Bebezas: to answer the handcuff question - MIA's RBBC is prob the most important one this year
James Rathbone: yes it is
Matt Schauf: Seattle's is close
Greg Bebezas: esp with ricky having a low adp, its worth it
Jeff Erickson: I think it's important when you have (a) an awesome OL, (b) great offense in general and (c) a historically fragile starting RB
Bob Harris: Agree on Brown/Williams
Jeff Erickson: think Priest Holmes/Larry Johnson
Matt Schauf: I think New England's is deceptively worthwhile
Greg Bebezas: the thing i like about mia, is that they have to run. and they invested in the OL to do it
Jeff Erickson: otherwise, I'd rather spend the pick on the guys that have the better upside
Bob Harris: I agree
Greg Bebezas: ya, morris is a td vulture for them
Matt Schauf: Morris could start for half the season
Greg Bebezas: if he wasnt there, maroney would be top 10 easily
Matt Schauf: I'm not convinced that Belichick likes Maroney
(Commish): I'm not convinced he likes anyone
(Commish): Family included
Matt Schauf: guess I should have said "likes"
Jeff Erickson: Maroney had the same thing at MIN w/Barber
(Commish): Comment from AIM: i like that bryant johnson pick, Brinson
Jeff Erickson: Damn your black heart, David Gonos
Will Brinson: Thank you sir. I'm willing to gamble that Smith puts up better stats to both Johnson and Davis with Martz in town
Will Brinson: sir/ma'am
(Commish): Comment from AIM: I drafted 3 WR's and TE to open my draft last year and breezed to an easy win in my 12 team league. You guys easily forget 1/2 the RB's in the 1st 2 rounds were bust last year. Everyone said "thanks for the donation to me" as the draft concluded but I won that leaugue without even breaking a sweat. Just say no to RB's in round 1 when the value isn't there and you will sleep better at night.
James Rathbone: I wanted Bruce
Greg Bebezas: crumpler is another big sleeper i like. very undervalued.
Tim Williams: All of my WR sleepers are now gone, Bryant Johnson, Reggie Williams, Bobby Engram, and DJ Hackett, hoping he stays healthy
Matt Schauf: great value with Crumpler there
(Commish): Comment from AIM: maybe with crumpler around V.Y. will have some talent to throw to
Jeff Erickson: second-best first name in the Crumpler family
(Commish): Question from AIM: what about Hawkins in Tennessee?
Matt Schauf: Vince will still stink as a fantasy QB, though
(Commish): I'll bite -- what's the best?
Matt Schauf: don't touch anyone but Crumpler and White in Tennessee
Matt Schauf: Carlester
Jeff Erickson: I don't mind Chris Johnson as a reach pick
Matt Schauf: I still favor Algernon, though
Jeff Erickson: helluva college FF'er last year
James Rathbone: I like Johnson, I grabbed him early, he is good ppr guy
Matt Schauf: I think Johnson will be a much better real player than fantasy
(Commish): Gotta brush up on the college pigskin
Matt Schauf: though I'd take him late-round in PPR
Will Brinson: you an ECU guy Jeff?
Jeff Erickson: no, Northwestern
Jeff Erickson: but I love college FF
Will Brinson: oh, nm. That's near my neck of the woods
(Commish): (crowd laughs)
Jeff Erickson: college football in general
Jeff Erickson: maybe moreso than NFL FF
Matt Schauf: all told, I think the college game is better
Will Brinson: meh. They get paid less.
Jeff Erickson: I like the contrast
(Commish): I have the most fun with that College Fantasy League we do, Jeff. My favorite Fantasy Football league by a mile
Will Brinson: It also has to do with being an NC State fan. Makes college season a lot less enjoyable lately
Jeff Erickson: i'm in 4 college leagues
Jeff Erickson: 2 of them have a keeper element
Jeff Erickson: it's pretty insane
(Commish): Question from AIM: what do you all think will turn out with S. Alexander, T. Henry and C. Benson?
Will Brinson: Do you play with individual players or "corps" drafting?
Jeff Erickson: eh, you had the glory days of Rivers and Holt
(Commish): Erickson went wire-to-wire last year -- undefeated
Jeff Erickson: individual players
Matt Schauf: Benson is the only one with a shot of resurfacing
Will Brinson: True, true. I was there for Phil's whole career
Matt Schauf: I love Chris Brown in Round 12
James Rathbone: avoid Henry at all costs, but there not worth much more than a late round pick right now
Matt Schauf: this might be the first draft I didn't get him in
Bob Harris: Wanted Dunn there. Brown was a fallback
Matt Schauf: I'd much rather have Brown
Greg Bebezas: pittman is a sneaky pick in ppr leagues
James Rathbone: Brown was still a solid pick
Jeff Erickson: Will, at least you were at your school when they were good; Northwestern won 8 games my four years there combined
Jeff Erickson: went to the Rose Bowl two years later
(Commish): They'll be fun again this year
Will Brinson: Fair enough. But you guys are smart. We shoot people at tailgates and have tractor pulls
(Commish): Could do some damage in the Big 10
Brian Swaw: Leon my brother - I was just teeing him up
Jeff Erickson: like Leon there as well
Jeff Erickson: better than my Torain pick, actually
Matt Schauf: I wanted a receiver, but they're picked pretty clean
Jeff Erickson: Geoff - agreed about us this year - should be a fun season to watch
Jeff Erickson: and ... at least we're not Iowa
Matt Schauf: I like Washington too, but I'll trade him for Torain
(Commish): Big 10 is down -- seems like a season the Cats could do things
(Commish): Question from AIM: Ward? Jacboy Jones?
Matt Schauf: I'll take a shot on Jacoby Jones if I have an opening late
Jeff Erickson: it's all about lottery tickets right now, right?
Bob Harris: I'm laying off Jones and Ward
James Rathbone: yep, go with your gut
Will Brinson: I heart Jacoby Jones. And I'm trying to take a flier
(Commish): I was looking over our 2007 ADP on Friday. The last listed player, right ahead of Stephen Alexander: Earnest Graham
Matt Schauf: that guy will never do anything
(Commish): Comment from AIM: muhammad is a good pick!
Bob Harris: Thank U. Another old guy for an old guy
Matt Schauf: Jimmy Smith is still out there, too
Jeff Erickson: I'm holding out for Isaac Curtis in the 16th
Bob Harris: I'm hoping he lasts another round
(Commish): Comment from AIM: end of 13 for campbell?? what a steal!!
James Rathbone: While Kitna at times is horrible, I still think he is worth a late round pick as your back up,
Greg Bebezas: i'm still waiting for ricky watters to retire
Jeff Erickson: "for who? for what?"
Matt Schauf: nice
Matt Schauf: I like Zach Miller as a sleeper this year
(Commish): Like McMichael
Matt Schauf: he had by far his best game in Russell's lone start
Matt Schauf: granted, extremely small sample
(Commish): Question from AIM: what will Russell do this year?
Jeff Erickson: agreed on Miller too - another stud in college
Matt Schauf: eat a lot and complain about people talking about his weight
Tim Williams: Eat Darren McFadden
Matt Schauf: otherwise, he'll throw about two more picks than TDs at least
Will Brinson: Brandon Jackson owes me from last season.
(Commish): Did Sam Keller get a non-roster invite anywhere?
Matt Schauf: Oakland
Jeff Erickson: Is Callahan anywhere these days?
Matt Schauf: signed him, I believe
Matt Schauf: Callahan is a QB coach in the league, though I forget where
(Commish): Thought Keller would be a NFL stud back at ASU
(Commish): Question from AIM: why is it taking so long for John David Booty to sign? maybe they're waiting on Farve so that he can get his #4 from him???
Matt Schauf: I wouldn't pay much attention to any non-first round contracts
Matt Schauf: he'll get signed
Tim Williams: Booty isn't starting this year, so no rush to sign him
Matt Schauf: it just takes longer to sign that name
Brian Swaw: Didn't someone say Issac Curtis was taken - so i selected T T Toomer
Matt Schauf: because he has three of them
Jeff Erickson: I usually don't pay any attention to the rookie holdouts, but the CBA issues are worrisome
(Commish): As we head into the last round, I'd like to thank our experts for taking time out of their schedule to join us
Matt Schauf: thanks for the invite, Geoff
Bob Harris: Thanks for having me. Love the site
(Commish): And thank all of the viewers -- especially those who sent in questions or comments
James Rathbone: Happy to be here
Will Brinson: Experts? I just stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
Jeff Erickson: yes, thanks again Geoff
James Rathbone: Thanks for the invite
Will Brinson: Thanks for having us, of course
(Commish): QUestion from AIM: andre or fitz?
Dustin Ashby: Thanks Geoff
Bob Harris: Fitz
Matt Schauf: thoroughly enjoyable site
(Commish): No worries -- good group of drafters here
Matt Schauf: Fitz
David Gonos: hey, thanks for inviting me -- I'm sorry I was in and out so much. We're close to launch and I've been working through this draft, haaaa

(Commish): Take care of Jason tomorrow, David
Tim Williams: Thanks Geoff. Great site
Will Brinson: Yeah MDC's draft software has always been top rate
Matt Schauf: what are you going to do if I don't draft a kicker, by the way

(Commish): Thanks for the kind words
James Rathbone: I love the software, have a good night guys
David Gonos: love the mocks here, always good experience.
Jeff Erickson: do I take the shitty backup QB, or the hella-reach RB?
