Commish): Welcome to Eric Hinz of Fake Teams
(Commish): Welcome to our early viewers
Eric Hinz: Glad to be here.  Thank you for the invite.
(Commish): Welcome to Derek Carty of The Hardball Times
(Commish): Welcome to Jason Pliml of Mock Draft Central
(Commish): Welcome to Ray Flowers of Fanball
Derek Carty: Good evening everyone
(Commish): Welcome to Joshua Randall of Baseball HQ
(Commish): Welcome to Tom Kessenich of Fantasy Sports Magazine and the National Fantasy Baseball Championship
Tom Kessenich: hey everyone
Joshua Randall: greetings, all
Ray Flowers: hello
Jason Pliml: Hey Tom.
(Commish): Welcome to J.P. Kastner of Creative Sports
Jason Pliml: Hi Ray
J.P. Kastner: Hello everyone!
Ray Flowers: how's it going jason?
Jason Pliml: pretty well, pretty well.  How about you?
Todd Farino: Hey everyone
(Commish): Welcome to Todd Farino of Fantasy Baseball Search
Ray Flowers: hanging tough
Jason Pliml: I hear ya.
Todd Farino: IT will be fun, check us out
Todd Farino: Thanks Geoff
(Commish): I will start with the first question: Our first expert draft was on Dec. 15 - what huge differences will we see tonight?
(Commish): Welcome to Jeff Boggis of Fantasy Sports Empires
(Commish): Welcome to Patrick DiCaprio of Fantasy Pros 911
Jason Pliml: Rich Harden will go undrafted tonight
(Commish): Bold!
(Commish): Question from AIM: harden is really going to go undrafted?
(Commish): Anyone gonna take him?
Jason Pliml: He'll go from a 9th round pick to a 20th round flyer - that shoulder injury isn't going to fix itself.
Jeff Boggis: No way Harden goes undrafted!  I bet he wins at least 13 games this season and is drafted in the top 200 picks.
Jason Pliml: A couple Japanese rookie arms will be selected before the end.
Derek Carty: I could see someone taking a flyer on Felix Pie
Jeff Boggis: I think that Feliz Pie will be drafted for the first time in 2009 drafts.
Jeff Boggis: Felix Pie
Jason Pliml: Isn't Feliz Pie a Latin American Christmas dish?
(Commish): It will be interesting to see how long they play him in LF
Todd Farino: I hope I don't have typos today
(Commish): It happens with this format, Todd
Jason Pliml: It's jokes like that which got me banned from MDC expert drafts...
(Commish): Quickfire
Jeff Boggis: Hey, it's not an error if you correct yourself before anyone else does!
Patrick DiCaprio: i thought it was funny...a little
(Commish): Question from AIM: When is the right time to draft pitching?
Eric Hinz: 9th round
(Commish): Question from AIM: Question for Pat DiCaprio... Over/under three Yankees on your roster
Jason Pliml: Wait on RP, get a couple solid SP's in rounds 4-6
Jeff Boggis: The best time to draft pitching is when all of the power hitters are off the board.  Home runs will be the true "scarcity" in 2009.
Jason Pliml: Don't be the first to draft an RP unless there's a tremendous discount from ADP value
J.P. Kastner: I agree with that.  There is a downward trend in power.
Patrick DiCaprio: definitely UNDER
Todd Farino: Will Pujols be there at #11?
Jason Sarney: evening gents
Grey Albright: my turn yet?
Jason Sarney: 11???
Todd Farino: hey Jason, How are you
Jason Sarney: no chance
Jason Sarney: well todd, how are you?
Jason Sarney: thanks
Todd Farino: I didn't think so
(Commish): Welcome to Grey Albright of Razzball
Grey Albright: thanks commish
(Commish): Welcome to Jason Sarney of Fantasy Phenoms
Todd Farino: Jason, I'm great.  everything is good
Grey Albright: hey, phenoms
(Commish): Full house!  I get to be Uncle Joey!
Patrick DiCaprio: uh oh-- i never knew grey had a last name!
Jason Sarney: hey Grey
Grey Albright: sorry, i missed your mock last week
Grey Albright: i'm abad person
Jason Sarney: we are doing one every wednesday
Jason Sarney: you are all welcome to catch one
Grey Albright: it's so hard to push off top chef
Grey Albright: but there is the tivo
Grey Albright: ugh, choices
(Commish): Question from AIM: I read Derek Carty's article on experts in mock drafts. Is everyone giving there best efforts tonight ?
Joshua Randall: yeah, I'm having to record "24"...
Patrick DiCaprio: what is this "tivo" thing?
Jeff Boggis: A big shout out to Lenny Melnick, Paul Greco and Tony Cincotta!
Grey Albright: it's like a VCR but with live TV
Patrick DiCaprio: cant believe we have to miss 24!
Joshua Randall: answer to AIM: I'll sure try my best
Patrick DiCaprio: joking grey!!
Jeff Boggis: And two and a half men!
Grey Albright: oh
Grey Albright: no way!
(Commish): Question from AIM: Who will be the best pitcher on the Twins this year?  Liriano, Baker, other???
Grey Albright: ok, i'll take asdrubal with the 1st pick
Patrick DiCaprio: other
Grey Albright: big things, i tell ya
Jason Sarney: slowy!
Derek Carty: Does Livan Hernandez count?
Jeff Boggis: At least you did not have to do a draft when the Fiesta Bowl was going on (Mike Kuchera's battle of the fantasy gods draft)
Jason Sarney: Big fan of Kevin Slowey
Todd Farino: I've givinh my best effort
Grey Albright: i love slowey
Derek Carty: Liriano, I think
Grey Albright: i hear he's going ot break 120 Ks
Todd Farino: Jeff, I did and that stunk
Jeff Boggis: I hear you Todd!
Todd Farino: lol
(Commish): Question from e-mail: How many of you will play in the NFBC this year? If you're not playing, why not?
Grey Albright: i hope hanley makes it to me
Jeff Boggis: Thank God Geoff Stein let us "pick over" when we went past our 1:30 time for each pick!
Grey Albright: i don't know what nfbc is
Grey Albright: is it like UFC
Patrick DiCaprio: LOL
Todd Farino: Just not interested myself
Jason Sarney: lets rock boys
Ray Flowers: i'll be there
Derek Carty: I'm not playing in NFBC.  For me, it's mostly because I've already got a lot of leagues, I am not big on the no trading thing, and the money
Grey Albright: thanks, geoff
Jeff Boggis: It's like NBC.....
Jason Sarney: YES!
Joshua Randall: let the controvery begin
Grey Albright: ok, i'm going to write up a post right now for this mock while we mock... so i'm not ignoring you
Jason Sarney: WRIGTH NO 1!
Patrick DiCaprio: love the pick
Jason Sarney: Pat DiCaprio is yelling now
Jason Sarney: two mets on top
Jason Sarney: wow
Patrick DiCaprio: amen!!!!!
Jason Sarney: love it!
Grey Albright: is ronis here
Todd Farino: Reyes at #2 is sad
Derek Carty: ?
Jason Sarney: OVER Hanley
Jason Sarney: wow
Grey Albright: wow, hanley al;most made it
Grey Albright: weird
Jeff Boggis: Anyone podcasting tonight's draft?
(Commish): Question from AIM: Are they doing a bit by not taking Hanley or Arod first?
Derek Carty: No, I prefer Reyes
(Commish): Viewers may ask questions to our experts in two ways -- 1) E-mail: expertdraft-at-mockdraftcentral.com or 2) AIM: mockdraftcentral
(Commish): Question from AIM: Why did Pujols go #5?
Jason Pliml: I think Pujols is good value at 5 overall.
(Commish): Question from AIM: For DiCaprio: Does the Teixeira pick have anything to do with you being a Yankees fan?
Patrick DiCaprio: no! definitely a good bet and is so consistent
(Commish): Question from AIM: Do you guys think Holliday being in a contract year will over come Oak pitcher friendly park?
>b?(Commish): Question from AIM: Matt Holliday, still a 1st rounder?
Jason Pliml: you just had to believe...
Jason Sarney: yes
Jason Pliml: Holliday is a late first rounder.
Jeff Boggis: If you look at where Holliday likes the ball, it is over the plate.  He hits his HRs to right center field.  Look at the dimensions of Oakland's stadium and you can project less HRs for Matt in 2009.
Eric Hinz: I'd rather Bruan the risk Holliday
Jason Sarney: Holliday is a 11-12 pick
Jason Sarney: I was close to taking him 10
Jason Sarney: but did so in another draft last week
Jason Sarney: Braun over Holliday- yes
(Commish): Comment from AIM: ichiro and manny before longoria? cmon
(Commish): Question from AIM: Is Ichiro really that much more valuable than Ellsbury?
Eric Hinz: ouch
(Commish): Question from AIM: where is manny going to play
Jason Pliml: As for Manny, I already had A Rod at 3B
(Commish): Ichiro's batting average makes him quite a bit more valuable, IMO
Jason Sarney: who wrote those odds?
(Commish): I would say Manny ends up back with the Dodgers
Jason Sarney: i am actually Mr. Met
Jeff Boggis: Manny will play in LA once again as they seem to be the only team to want him and put up with his attitude in 2009.
Jason Pliml: I don't have to be friends with Manny, just start him in my lineup :)
(Commish): Question from AIM: CC before Johan?
Jeff Boggis: CC before Johan only in an AL only league.
Jason Pliml: I don't see it.  CC will get great run support, but I'm not sold on Sabathia being better - his offseason donut diet is bound to catch up with him
Joshua Randall: it's very close
J.P. Kastner: Santana is the safer bet.
Jeff Boggis: Plus Santana sweats a lot less than CC.  I'd rather invest in CC's pizza.  I just feel that Sabathia was over-pitched in 2008 and could be an injury risk in 2009.  Plus he has the security of a big fat......contract.
Jason Pliml: Personally, I avoid him - nervous about injury.
(Commish): Question from AIM: Hasn't Santana been overpitched 4 years running?
(Commish): Question from AIM: Why all the love for Youk??  Flukey season if you ask me
Jason Pliml: JP - I flipped a coin on Vlad vs Hamels.  Thought he might slide back to me
Tom Kessenich: i like his power potential, the fact he's in a strong lineup and his dual eligibility. i was hoping to get ramirez there but i'm happy with youkilis and fielder as my corners
(Commish): Question from AIM: Is Frankie the top closer in baseball ?
Patrick DiCaprio: love upton--definitely a good pick
Jeff Boggis: Nope.  I'd rather have Papelbon any day of the week.  No way K-Rod repeats as the top closer in 2009.
Jason Pliml: Hard to argue against him as top reliever.  Papelbon is the other one I'd put in teh running
Todd Farino: Upton is a great pick
Patrick DiCaprio: agree with jeff--who knows who will end up #1? saves are about opportunity
(Commish): Question from AIM: Out of these 5 player who would you keep in a keeper league? Brandon Phillips, Josh Hamilton, Adrian Gonzalez, Nick Markakis, and BJ Upton.
Derek Carty: nope, K-Rod is most certainly not the top closer
Derek Carty: sorry Todd
Jason Sarney: he is not
Todd Farino: KROD will end up and either way its a great pick
Jason Sarney: at 4?
Jason Pliml: Hamilton then Markakis.
Todd Farino: I really don't care what anyone thinks of my KROD pick
Jeff Boggis: There are plenty of closers that can be drafted way later in the draft.  Try finding a 30-40 HR hitter in the middle to later rounds.
Patrick DiCaprio: wow! i LOVE jacobs though
Grey Albright: sorry, i was writing the post for this mock so i'm a bit preoccupied.... but Mike Jacobs?
Jason Sarney: i had him targeted for my 20th
Jeff Boggis: Todd, not a bad pick, it's just a preference of drafting strategy.
Jason Sarney: damn
(Commish): Question from AIM: Question for Josh Randall: Why would you select a 2-category player who is switching leagues, who has never amassed 500 AB's in a season, in the 5th round?
Jeff Boggis: Maybe he meant to draft Mike Young?
Todd Farino: Jeff, its a strategy, you are right.  Its every year people whine about my picks.  I'll live
(Commish): Question from AIM: Alexei Ramirez waaaay to late.  Why??
Jeff Boggis: Becuase I can draft Willie Taveras 10 rounds later if I need stolen bases.
Jeff Boggis: Or Rickie Weeks at 2B
(Commish): Comment from AIM: I think the "experts" are afraid to take chances, Geoff.  I LOVE Alexei this season...equal to the top ones IMO
(Commish): Quetion from AIM: what numbers do you see Alexei putting up this year?
(Commish): Comment from AIM: DiCaprio: Great job on the Chipper pick.  Who cares what stats say? The only one that matters is batting average!
(Commish): .290 with 15 HRs, 25 steals good number of runs on Alexi
Jeff Boggis: I think the "experts" are afraid to also finish in last place!
Jason Pliml: dammit ray - you make me sad
Ray Flowers: thats my main job
Jason Pliml: you're doing a fine, fine job
Ray Flowers: :-)
(Commish): Comment from AIM: nice grab with abreu, should go 20/20 no matter where he goes
Jason Pliml: thanks
(Commish): Question from AIM: what do you expect with rollins? 20.20?
Grey Albright: 15/40
Jeff Boggis: Since I drafted Rollins:  111runs,     22 HRs, 78 RBIs,     47 SBs and    .296 BA.  My projections are available at www.fantasysportsempires.com
(Commish): Comment from AIM: ethier should be a beast, especially if manny comes back
Eric Hinz: Balls your name is Joshua Randall!
(Commish): Question from AIM: I never draft a pitcher till after 6 round, is that too late.
Derek Carty: In a mixed league, I will almost never draft a pitcher earlier than that
Todd Farino: Jeff, I love the Rollins pick
Joshua Randall: :-)
Todd Farino: Derek, I agree
Jeff Boggis: It is now round 7 and my first 6 picks have been hitters.  That strategy has always worked just fine for me.  There are plenty of SPs to find in the middle and late rounds, not to mention the waiver wire.  SPs are a fickle group that are the hardest to project.  See Cliff Lee and John Danks circa 2008.
Jason Sarney: PAT!!
Jason Sarney: Posada is next
Jason Sarney: queue him up
(Commish): Comment from e-mail: Best value picks so far:Santana @ 27Granderson @ 56Papelbon @ 68
Jeff Boggis: Thanks Todd.  I was surprised that Rollins was still on he board at pick 10.  In my opinion, if you do not draft the top 3 shortstops (ramierez, reyes, or rollins) then you might as well wait until the later rounds.
Todd Farino: I was hoping I'd get him Jeff
(Commish): Comment from AIM: Comment for Dicaprio.. Tex and Damon.. that's two already
Patrick DiCaprio: next up is Matsui......
(Commish): Comment from AIM: pliml with mccan and soto, nice job ....but how bout the rest of ur infield? ur gunna have slim picking for 1b,2b,ss
Joshua Randall: ervin... GREAT pick
Jason Pliml: was hoping for D Lee, but happy with Jeter
Jason Pliml: Overall, my roster will have plenty of power, I can wait until late to grab some speed & average guys at my MI spots
(Commish): Question from AIM: arod or wright in 09?
Patrick DiCaprio: wright--it's close
(Commish): Comment from AIM: tell that mook AROD>>wright
Jeff Boggis: It's an ODD year (2009) so you have to go with Arod.  I'd be happy with either players though in 2009.  Great way to start a draft!
(Commish): Question from AIM: does Ervin put up a yr like last yr?
Joshua Randall: yes
Jeff Boggis: Santana: 14 wins,    182Ks    3.51 ERA    1.22 WHIP
(Commish): Question from AIM: seeing brad lidge going in round 8 (where closers should go) does farino regret the krod pick (i mean he wasnt even the best closer last year
Todd Farino: Ervin is a risk, but consider him a good pick
Patrick DiCaprio: nice Derek--i was hoping to get doumit
(Commish): Question from AIM: who would you keep if you had to? Ervin/Harden/Shields?
Derek Carty: yeah, I like Doumit
Derek Carty: and getting catchers early
(Commish): Question from AIM: do u guys a decent improvement for vazquez in the NL?
Jason Sarney: Nice Pat with Wells
Patrick DiCaprio: thx
(Commish): I think Vazquez is destined to be frustratingly mediocre no matter which league he's in
Derek Carty: I wrote an article a week or so ago on Vazquez
Patrick DiCaprio: i like vazquez this year
Derek Carty: I think he's in for a big year
Ray Flowers: 150 K, 10 wins every year, last 8 I think, only one in the game to do that
(Commish): Question from e-mail: Is Milton Bradley worth a pick this year?
Patrick DiCaprio: "a" pick yes
Joshua Randall: high risk, high reward
Jeff Boggis: I was very excited that Vazquez is now in Atlanta.  It is a better pitcher's park for him.  I think his Ks will be the same or go up due to moving to an NL park and not having to face a DH.  But, Atlanta won't win as many games for him.  He is a borderline #1 and strong #2 SP in 2009.
Patrick DiCaprio: cant stay healthy as DH and now has to play the field
(Commish): Comment from AIM: Hey Tom K, Greg is upset he didn't get Kazmir!!  From GLY
(Commish): Question from AIM: Does Dice-K come close to last year's ERA?
Derek Carty: No
Tom Kessenich: he wanted me to take kazmir over oswalt? i thought about it. tough choice but i'm happy with oswalt
Derek Carty: He does not, not unless he fixes his control
Jason Pliml: I'm happy with a 3.3 ERA from Dice
(Commish): Question from AIM: upton or mourneau as a keeper, i am keeping howard and kinsler?
(Commish): Toughie there, but I'd go Morneau ... barely
Derek Carty: I'd go with Upton
(Commish): Question from e-mail: Is Rich Harden too big of a health risk?
(Commish): I'll answer that - yes, he's going to miss time
Joshua Randall: well, define 'too big'
Todd Farino: Great pick with Harden
Todd Farino: I almost took him myself
Jason Sarney: he is out for some time
Jason Sarney: but if healthy- a stud
(Commish): Question from AIM: Zimmerman ever going to stay healthy
(Commish): Guess not....
(Commish): Comment from AIM: nolasco is not a bad 5th sp for ur team, sarney...but he's overvalued after last year (he wont match it imo),,,,y not take the flyer on harden, or verlander (hoping he bounces back)..hell, even zambrano was there
Tom Kessenich: i don't trust him. plus that's a weak team in washington so he doesn't have a lot of support in the lineup
Joshua Randall: the thing w/ zimm is, IF he stays healthy he has huge upside
(Commish): Comment from e-mail: Nady in for big 2009?
Joshua Randall: I hope so. I think in round 12 it's worth the risk.
Joshua Randall: he had clearly the best skills of any OF left
(Commish): Question from AIM: Slowey or Baker??
Jeff Boggis: Slowey
(Commish): Question from AIM: Question: Are we still living off of Zimmerman's half season when he first came up?
Joshua Randall: baker :)
Ray Flowers: slowey
(Commish): Comment from AIM: Todd Farino: When will you take Gavin Floyd? You can never stop talking about him!
Patrick DiCaprio: hell i'll say baker
(Commish): Question from AIM: whos going to make biggest impact in 2009... cameron maybin, jason heyward or colby rasmus
(Commish): I like Maybin the best there
(Commish): Not as much competition
Todd Farino: I would take Floyd in the 12th round
Eric Hinz: Maybin.  Rasmus has quite a few proven LaRussa guys to compete against
Todd Farino: It just depends what you need on your team
Todd Farino: I miss typed, 14th round
(Commish): Question from AIM: Is sheets still there because we don't know where he is going? He was the best first half pitcher last year
Todd Farino: I would take him if he is still there
(Commish): Question from e-mail: Do you see Matt Wieters making Orioles opening day roster or being called up later?
Grey Albright: later
(Commish): I'll say he starts Opening Day -- they have to sell tickets somehow
Jason Pliml: If he has a solid spring, then opening day
Joshua Randall: heh, true
(Commish): Not much else going on with the Os
Jeff Boggis: They even let go their pitching coach, Leo Mazzoni!
(Commish): Question from AIM: "Experts" thoughts on Mike Fontenot......500 AB's this season??
(Commish): 500 seems high with Miles and Cedeno (for now) there
(Commish): I like him as a good 2B value, though
Jason Pliml: fontenot needs to get traded to KC to get full time AB
Joshua Randall: 400 AB seems about right
Joshua Randall: barring a trade
(Commish): Question from AIM: With Milton Bradley always hurt, is fukudome going to get regular playing time in RF and CF?
Jason Pliml: I'd never assume a guy is going to get hurt, even if it's Bradley
Todd Farino: I like the Morrow pick
(Commish): Question from AIM: How come Mike Pelfrey isn't getting the respect he deserves??
Patrick DiCaprio: like jay sarney--morrow can go both ways
Todd Farino: Pelfrey is a good pitcher, but pitchers are just going slow in this draft
Jason Pliml: not enough K's for Pelfrey with some of the names still on the board
Joshua Randall: LIMA rules
Jeff Boggis: LIMA rules, amen!
(Commish): Question from AIM: Help me with my 15 team draft.....Kyle Lohse, Nick Blackburn, or Anthony Reyes??
Patrick DiCaprio: blackburn, reyes lohse
Grey Albright: blackburn, reyes lohse
Grey Albright: what padi said
Jason Pliml: agreed.  pretty clear
(Commish): I'll throw this out there again - would our experts like to plug anything?
Patrick DiCaprio: www.fantasypros911.com!!
Grey Albright: dicaprio's piehole
Joshua Randall: if you don't know what LIMA is, check out baseballhq.com
Derek Carty: Tom Tango wanted me to mention his Forecaster's Challenge, if any of the guys tonight are interested in playing
Tom Kessenich: check out www.fantasybaseballchampionship.com. home of the national fantasy baseball championship. the industry's only live high-stakes national baseball event
Jeff Boggis: I'd like to plug that the 2009 fantasy draft kit and spreadsheet is available for only $4.99 with free updates at www.fantasysportsempires.com
Jason Pliml: MockDraftCentral.com - home of the live fantasy baseball expert draft!
Derek Carty: www.tangotiger.net/forecast
Joshua Randall: guillen is good, so is theriot in R17
(Commish): Question from AIM: Hey dicaprio, how do you explain taking Morrow over Sheets and Dempster?
Patrick DiCaprio: flexibility and potential--sheets is injury prone and dempster due for a big fall
(Commish): Question from AIM: Thoughts on James McDonald this season??
Jeff Boggis: I'd rather own Ronald McDonald.
(Commish): Comment from AIM: Farino: Still no Gavin Floyd?
Todd Farino: ERIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Patrick DiCaprio: i like mcdonald--results say he can pitch in the bigs and he doesnt have to beat much to get into the rotation
Todd Farino: ERIC AWESOME PICK YOU FING THIEF!
Eric Hinz: Glad Boggis took Bedard then.  Pablo wasn't going to slip another round then
Jeff Boggis: Does Sandoval qualify at C?  He did not in the CBS league drafts?  I guess know your league settings!
Todd Farino: Hinz, great pick with Pablo
Todd Farino: Yes
Jeff Boggis: 20 games at C in CBS.  5 in yahoo.  I guess the C in CBS stands for catcher.
(Commish): Question from AIM: Was Joe Saunders season a fluke last season ?
Todd Farino: He will also qualify at 3B
Jeff Boggis: I really think that Cliff Lee was last year's fluke.  I mean, I don't see him winning the CY Young award in 2009.
Todd Farino: Joe Saunders had a over achieving year, but the Angels
Derek Carty: Yes.  Saunders's BABIP, HR/FB, and LOB% were all lucky, plus he provides negative value in K
Todd Farino: The Angels produce great pitching and Saunders was a solid pick in the 17th,  COnsidering who was taken around him
(Commish): Comment from e-mail: 18th round. No love for Tejada?
Eric Hinz: Great pick with Cueto
Derek Carty: I'm surprised to see him still there, but my MI spots are filled
Jeff Boggis: I had Tejada in the queue....
Joshua Randall: tejada had a huge power collapse and I don't see it coming back
(Commish): Question from AIM: one more....DANIEL Murphy....thoughts?  Yes, the one in NY
Jeff Boggis: I think he is good for 12-15 HRs in 2009.
Jeff Boggis: Dale Murphy will put up better stats in 2009....
(Commish): Question from AIM: Don't juan Pierre's SB numbers mean he should be long gone by now?
Jeff Boggis: I think he's been out of baseball for at least 20 years
Grey Albright: if you're trying to get me to draft pierre too... it might happen
Jeff Boggis: Depends on if Manny is resigned our not.
(Commish): Question from AIM: with pitching being so deep this year how important is it to get one of the big aces like CC or johan?
(Commish): I still think it's important to get that rock up front
Jeff Boggis: Not important at all, unless you want to finish middle of the pack in your league.  Look at the quality SPs that are still on the board as an example!
(Commish): Question from AIM: Can you please tell me how Mike Pelfrey is still available???
Joshua Randall: loved the F.Francisco pick BTW
(Commish): Comment from AIM: Not much faith in the White Sox pitching staff.  Floyd in the 19th and Danks in the 16th?
Derek Carty: me too, Francisco was on top of my list
Joshua Randall: re: pelfrey, pitchers with low 5s k/9 have limited upside, esp in 5x5
Ray Flowers: thanks
Jason Pliml: I was hoping Pelfrey would slide - I was hoping the chat comment wouldn't blow my cover
Jason Pliml: I almost took Pelfrey a round earlier, but Percival should get me some very cheap saves
Grey Albright: pelfrey threw too many innings last year
(Commish): Question from AIM: What do you expect for Kawakami and Uehara coming from Japan?
Grey Albright: less than kuroda
(Commish): Question from AIM: How about Jed Lowrie??  Why no love for him either?  Afraid of Lugo?
(Commish): Question from AIM: Don't Wang's high win totals of the past entice anybody?
(Commish): Like Lowrie - Lugo being there is scary, though
Patrick DiCaprio: thought about him but Ks an issue
Jason Pliml: Wang was the other SP in my queue when I took Pelfrey and filled my pitching.  Not enough strikeouts
(Commish): Question from AIM: Question: Does anyone else like the Dickerson pick as much as I do?
Derek Carty: I like the Dickerson pick
Derek Carty: He was in my queue
Joshua Randall: pretty hard to dislike any pick in R22 though
Jason Pliml: I like the fact that Wang won't be facing other teams' number one pitchers
Jason Pliml: CC will get that honor
Jason Sarney: love Dickerosn this late
(Commish): Question from AIM: No one thinks Aaron Cook will be as good as last year? Just a fluke?
Jeff Boggis: Wang is a great end-game pick!  Another great reason why you can wait on starting pitching.
Jason Pliml: Aaron Cook is one of those "ugly" pitchers.  You start him when you have to.  He's a great pick in a 15-team league
Jeff Boggis: Cook is a decent #5 SP.  12-14 wins with a 4.00 ERA, but less than 100 Ks.
Jason Pliml: Cook has a great game, then gets shelled in his next outing.
Jason Pliml: Or maybe I just seem to remember his stinkbag games because of the sheer anguish they caused me...
(Commish): Alright, folks, as we enter the final round, I'd like to thank our experts for taking time out of their schedules to join us tonight
(Commish): But I'd especially like to thank everyone who sent questions or comments in
(Commish): Also thanks to Todd, Lenny, Paul and Tony for an excellent job with their broadcasts
Jason Pliml: Thanks to everyone that participated and submitted questions!
