Jason McCoy: Hello StinkBall.com is in da house
Jason Pliml: Hi Jason.  Welcome in.
Jason McCoy: Well all the Jason’s are here
Jason Pliml: Welcome to our live viewers!
Jason McCoy: Thank you Jason.
(Commish): Welcome to Jason McCoy of Stinkball
Jason Pliml: I'll just suggest that in our format, fumbles and interceptions are bad :)
(Commish): Welcome to Jason Pliml of Mock Draft Central
Jason McCoy: Ok, I'll keep that in mind.  But at StinkBall, they are good :)
Jason McCoy: I'm just kidding, I've played this game once or twice or 300 times
(Commish): Welcome to Jay Clemons of Sports Illustrated
Jason McCoy: Hi Jay
(Commish): Welcome to Gil Brovar of FF Mastermind
Jason McCoy: Hi Gil
(Commish): Welcome to Scott Engel of RotoExperts
Scott Engel: wasup
Jason McCoy: What up Scott?
Scott Engel: hey Jason
Jason Pliml: Yo scott.
Steven Aldersley: Hey guys
Jason McCoy: 5th pick....hmmm this could be interesting
Scott Engel: Hey jay
Jason McCoy: Hey Steven
(Commish): Welcome to Steven Aldersley of Time Warner Cable & Metro Sports
Scott Engel: whatup JP
Steven Aldersley: ugh, 12th pick
Jason Pliml: nothin much.  Just ironing my dollar bills, practicing my kareoke, etc
Jason McCoy: Does JP always go first? :)
Jason Pliml: actually, this is the first time I've ever gone first
Jason Pliml: I was dumbfounded when I saw the draft order.
Jason Pliml: In fact, I don't think I've drafted AP in the past two years.
Jay Clemons: gentlemen ... what is up?
(Commish): Question from AIM: why is Brandon Jacobs not going in round 1?
Jason McCoy: Showing your hand already....:)
Jason Pliml: Or am I???
Jason Pliml: Yeah, ok, I am
Jason McCoy: I think people are scared he's too big and will get hurt
Jason Pliml: AP is a pretty easy choice in non-PPR scoring formats.
Scott Engel: in non PPR leagues he is a TD monster, I d take him late in first
Jason McCoy: Just read an article on The Huddle about RB size...very interesting
Steven Aldersley: Jacobs is low second round for me because of the way
the Giants limit him to 20 or fewer carries most weeks
Jason McCoy: He could fall down and gain 3 yards though
Alex Hardin: Hey guys!
Jason McCoy: Hey Alex
(Commish): Question from AIM: As far as draft strategy, do any of you
follow any particular rules, such as always a RB in the first round,
etc?

Gil Brovar: will the sound on the blog pick up in 10 minutes or is
there more than just logging into that site involved
Scott Engel: Ive seen saeties actually run away from him
(Commish): Welcome to Alex Hardin of RotoRob
Steven Aldersley: I don't follow any rules
Jason Pliml: Historically, I was always RB/RB with first two picks
Jason McCoy: Try to get a RB unless I draft late in the first
Jason McCoy: I tend to agree with JP
Jason Pliml: Now with more teams going RBBC (multiple starters), I
tend toward studs at a few positions
Alex Hardin: I don't think there is a rule of thumb that should always
be followed, it depends on when you pick and who is available.
Jason McCoy: You can wait on WRs and QBs but you can't wait too long on RBs
(Commish): Welcome to Lou Tranquilli of BFD Fantasy Football
Alex Hardin: I tend to think a stud WR with the 10th pick is better
than a second tier RB....
Jason McCoy: What up Lou?
Steven Aldersley: I always go with the best value unless I have a glaring need
Jason McCoy: First 5 rounds is all about best value
Steven Aldersley: I'll be publishing the results and my thoughts about
each pick if any viewer is curious
(Commish): Is there a link for that?
Jason McCoy: Me too, just go to www.stinkball.com/blog and read about
it tomorrow
Steven Aldersley: My comments will be here:
http://www.kcondemand.com/MetroSports-Fantasy-Football.aspx
(Commish): Question from AIM: what about drafting Tom Brady at #1.
even if he does half of what he did in '07 he'll still exceed a
monster season from A.P.
Scott Engel: Only in a two QB league
Jason McCoy: Nope
Scott Engel: Total points is not the only variant to use
Jason McCoy: I wouldn't do it unless you paid me the amount of the
winner's share in that league
Jason Pliml: the key to winning in FF - it's not about total points,
it's about point differential between starters
Steven Aldersley: It was a freak season like Manning in 2004, and he's
coming off an injury
Jason McCoy: I don't think Brady is the first QB that should be drafted
Steven Aldersley: Agreed
Scott Engel: I think he can be a top 5 QB for sure, but if I have to
start 2 RBs and 3 WRs Ill wait on the QB
(Commish): Welcome to Sean Haugh of Fantasy Pros 911
Jason McCoy: Exactly Scott.
Steven Aldersley: Hey Sean
Jason McCoy: Hey Sean.
Sean Haugh: Howdy!  Great to be here.
Scott Swanay: Hi guys
Jason McCoy: What up Sherpa?
(Commish): Welcome to Scott Swanay of Fantasy Football Sherpa
Jay Clemons: is this standard-scoring rules?
Jason McCoy: Are you in the New York Groove tonight Sherpa?
Steven Aldersley: No PPR
Jason Pliml: Yes.  No PPR
Scott Swanay: Yes, I am, Mr. Stink.
Scott Engel: No thats me Im the Kiss fan
Scott Engel: LOL
Jason McCoy: That is Sir Stink to you
Jason McCoy: And Mr. Engel, I am a huge kiss fan
Scott Engel: I am fanatical
Scott Engel: still buffering
Jay Clemons: the radio broadcast sounds like a horse-racing track announcer
Alex Hardin: NOW ITS MY TURN!
Jason Pliml: Hey really is fanatical - that is an understatement of
epic proportions
Scott Engel: I run two Kiss fantasy football leagues
Cory Bonini: strange. should be all set now
Jason Pliml: Hey Cory
Jason McCoy: Hey Cory
(Commish): Welcome to Cory Bonini of KFFL
Jason Pliml: Cory has a Jason fan club
Cory Bonini: appears that way. hello all
Jay Clemons: i can't draft...
Sean Haugh: can't believe sjax fell that far
Jason Pliml: Man, it's a long, long way back to the my pick.  I'm not
sure AP is worth that
(Commish): Comment from AIM: jackson at 11 is a steal
Jay Clemons: i would kill to have s-jax in a real league at 11
Sean Haugh: but i still ove c.johnson at 7 and deangelo at 8
Sean Haugh: love, that is
Alex Hardin: i liked chris johnson more last year when I didnt have a
spend a 1st rd pick on him...
Jay Clemons: got my No. 5 RB (s-jax) and No. 1 WR (fitz) in the first 14
Steven Aldersley: I don't trust Jackson, or the Rams
Jason Pliml: Jay - your team is working out perfectly
Jay Clemons: understandable
Jay Clemons: any chance this can be a real league? :)
Jason Pliml: no, juts for educational purposes - this lesson : dealing
with pleasant surprises
Jay Clemons: this draft is going in tomorrow's Fantasy Clicks ... so,
I've got that going for me -- which is nice
(Commish): Nice!
Louis Tranquilli: Lets promote the hell out of this!
Jason McCoy: Why are the WRs going this fast?
Steven Aldersley: great value on Portis
(Commish): Comment from AIM: nice on portis!
Jay Clemons: i would weep like a baby to get westbrook at 23
Scott Swanay: Agree on Portis
Jay Clemons: amazing value
Scott Swanay: And Westbrook.
Scott Engel: thanks
Louis Tranquilli: Westbrook, the news keeps gettn worse...
(Commish): Question from e-mail: whom are some guys who you would rank
higher and lower in a  PPR league

Steven Aldersley: I had Westbrook at 3 until the surgery
Scott Engel: yea jay lets play it out! LOL
Scott Swanay: More WRs in 1st 2 rounds in a PPR.
Steven Aldersley: I would have taken Westbrook/S Smith in a PPR
Scott Swanay: White, Fitzgerald, Megatron, & Andre Johnson picked sooner in PPR.
Sean Haugh: i was praying for ronnie brown
(Commish): WRs are flying off
Steven Aldersley: Welker in a PPR too
Jason McCoy: Welker is always under valued
(Commish): Question from AIM: A lot of articles lately telling league
owners to pick up WR's over first round backs if you dont have a top 3
pick. Is this a safe stradegy?

Jason McCoy: It is safe in PPR
Scott Engel: all depends on which rbs drop and your scoring system
Jay Clemons: i would always feel comfortable taking a WR low in Round 1
Scott Swanay: No - unless you have a really odd scoring system, should
still pick RBs before WRs generally.
Steven Aldersley: WRs get hurt less so it's a good strategy
Sean Haugh: you want at least one top RB bt there's value all the way
down the draft board this year
Jay Clemons: in fact, i wouldn't hesitate to take two WRs in the first
2 rounds ... there's sooooo much RB depth, you can hedge your bets on
all the time shares
Jason McCoy: Sherpa, hoping T. Jones has one more year in him?
Jay Clemons: LOOOVE lynch and freddie jackson this year
(Commish): Comment from e-mail: thomas is a steal at pick 9 of third round
Scott Swanay: Yes, but not banking on it - need more RB depth if you pick Jones.
Steven Aldersley: I think Lynch will do well when it matters
Jason McCoy: I think T. Jones is a bust this year
Cory Bonini: Agree on TJ - a lot of reasons not to like him - age,
mileage, attitude, Sanchez
Cory Bonini: no thanks
Jay Clemons: the radio broadcast is just like ESPN's coverage of the
REAL NFL Draft ...they analyze every pick in Rounds 1-2 ... then start
getting distracted with general topics after that
Jay Clemons: (just kidding, guys)
Jason McCoy: LOL yep
Steven Aldersley: Agree on T Jones
Steven Aldersley: I wanted Pierre Thomas at 3.12
Alex Hardin: Johnson & Johnson baby!
(Commish): Question from e-mail: who is everyones busts for the early rounds
Sean Haugh: let's swing for the fences here
Jason McCoy: DeAngelo Williams is my 1st round bust
Jay Clemons: Sliced Bread was a great player ... but I thought his
cousin, Wonder, was better in the red zone
Steven Aldersley: what was the greatest thing BEFORE sliced bread?
Jason Pliml: tank tops
Jason Pliml: on cave chicks
Jay Clemons: i'm listening to the radio broadcast ... they reference
"sliced bread"
Scott Swanay: Bison meat.
Steven Aldersley: Rodgers is good value there
Jason Pliml: Felt he had upside there
Cory Bonini: I was hoping Ochocinco would fall to me and Knowshon was
my backup plan ... that worked out well.
(Commish): Question from AIM: Aaron Rodgers, excellent pick. Compare
the Stats to Peyton, brilliant pick. Great weapons. Bust this year or
only getting better?

Steven Aldersley: Yeah, I think Chad bounces back
Steven Aldersley: I would trade him to the Chargers so he couldn't wear 85
Jason Pliml: I don't trust Rodgers to be as consistent as Peyton, but
he'll have plenty of big games
Jason Pliml: with the solid WR core in GB, I don't see a lot of downside
Steven Aldersley: weather?
Alex Hardin: going off the board here with Donald Brown in the 5th. I
love that cat.
Scott Swanay: I'd still vote for Peyton in a landslide.
(Commish): It gets interesting in the fifth
Steven Aldersley: I have Manning on every dynasty team
Jason McCoy: Reggie Bush is great value here
Jay Clemons: i have rivers a notch higher ... but wanted the
fitz/warner handcuff
Louis Tranquilli: I'll take him w. Pierre
(Commish): Question from AIM: projections for Romo?
Todd Farino: I feel that Romo will be an improved QB
Todd Farino: He will have Jones back, more time with Williams and
Barber and Witten
Louis Tranquilli: I wanted Wells, could.n;t do it w/ Reggie on boar
Todd Farino: Here are my projectiosn:
Steven Aldersley: I think Romo is elite but he lost a huge weapon so
his numbers drop a little
Todd Farino: 3860/28/2 Rushing
(Commish): Is Jessica Simpson the huge weapon?
Todd Farino: They won't drop
Scott Swanay: I think Romo throws for ~25 TD.
Todd Farino: To was a rpoblem
(Commish): Jessica's chest?  They may drop - age does that
Todd Farino: You guys watch, Romo is at his best when he is in control
of the team and doesn't have to pander to Owens
Todd Farino: lol
Steven Aldersley: 38 TDs in three seasons from Owens will be hard to replace
Todd Farino: You watch.  MIles is developing and Jones will be used in
the slot.  Mark my words
(Commish): Question from AIM: Last one for me guys, thanks, ; "McClain
over McGahee? TD thief? Who do you go with? td vs Yards? Old vs New?

Todd Farino: Crayton will be a better player without TO and frankly
Hurd isn't bad and was out almost all last year.  They have strong
role players in Dallas
Sean Haugh: ray rice
Scott Swanay: I'd rather have McGahee than McClain.
Todd Farino: McGahee then Rice
Scott Swanay: Would rather have Rice than McClain.
Jason Pliml: I don't look at TD vs yds.  I personally look at
consistent scorers.  they win head 2 head leagues
Jason McCoy: I would rather have Rice as well
(Commish): Question from AIM: What kind of a follow up season do you
expect from Lendale "the Whale" White after his phenomenal 2008?

Scott Swanay: Apparently he's slimmed down to porpoise-esque.
Louis Tranquilli: Ray Rice, best RB on the Ravens in a landslide.
Steven Aldersley: similar from White in terms of TDs, but fewer yards/carries
Sean Haugh: i can't believe i'm saying this, but i think losing the
weight hurts him
(Commish): Request from AIM for Tony Cincotta doing the broadcast:
would love for him to say wicked pissah. but ill leave it to you

Louis Tranquilli: Whites RB coach said that yesterday.
Jason Pliml: poor guy - you're too fat - you're too skinny
(Commish): Question from e-mail: who in the mid rounds has the most
potential to move up between now and week one

Jay Clemons: great question ...
Jason Pliml: Ray Rice
Jason Pliml: Jerome Harrison
Jay Clemons: whoever emerges as the raiders' No. 1 guy in the
preseason -- especially if it's McFadden -- has a chance to shoot up
the boards
Steven Aldersley: agree on Rice if the situation is clarified
Jay Clemons: the Raiders are going to be top-5 in rushing attempts
Steven Aldersley: Crabtree if he shows something in camp
Jay Clemons: it shouldn't matter that D-Mac has to split carries
Steven Aldersley: Berrian when Favre signs
Jason Pliml: Good call, Steven
(Commish): Don't you think most have been drafting Berrian assuming
that Favre will be his QB?
Sean Haugh: i am totally with jay on dmc, and also cedric benson once
folks realize he won't be sharing carries
Steven Aldersley: Olsen might well be the Bears best receiver this year
Jay Clemons: thx, sean
Jason Pliml: I think Berrian still moves up at least a full round if
Favre becomes official
Louis Tranquilli: followed by Des Clark LOL
Jason Pliml: to the point of being borderline overdrafted
Todd Farino: I agree.  Berrian has allot more value with Farve
(Commish): Some upside in Round 8
Scott Swanay: If either of the Indy RBs emerge as a clear starter,
they'd likely move up.
Jason Pliml: dammit Cory
(Commish): Good one, Scott
Scott Engel: thx
Cory Bonini: You got me on both picks
Jason Pliml: woohoo - vengence is mine
Steven Aldersley: I almost took J Jones over Lewis but wanted to see
how far he would fall
Scott Engel: love carlson
(Commish): Question from AIM: What do you expect for Cedric Benson this year?
Sean Haugh: well, you passed the favor down the line cory
(Commish): Engel = homer
Cory Bonini: can't stand carlson :(
Sean Haugh: i love carlson
Scott Engel: lol
Cory Bonini: was producer by default last yera
Cory Bonini: year
Cory Bonini: no WRs left to throw to... someone had to catch
Jason Pliml: I can't get a clear read on Benson.  My gut screams buyer beware
Scott Engel: thats why I like him now - with more help hell get open often
Sean Haugh: maybe it's because i watched too mch texas football, but i
still believe in cedric
Cory Bonini: Power-running Knapp won't use him that much
Jay Clemons: damn you, louis
Scott Engel: Hasselbek loves him
Cory Bonini: Crumpler was only used so much since Vick was teh QB.
*shrug* hope I'm wrong
Louis Tranquilli: Sorry dude, that was pretty late..
Scott Engel: hawks will have to throw a lot
(Commish): As we enter the double-digit rounds, I'd like to open the
door to our experts to promote their fine sites
Scott Swanay: Fantasy Football Sherpa - customizable player rankings

Jason McCoy: Hey can you Stink?  Go to www.stinkball.com to try

you personalized service throughot the year - i'm sure i'll be pulling
a lot of Sunday morning phone duty
Jason McCoy: StinkBall is only offering free teams
Jason McCoy: now I mean not only :)
Steven Aldersley: Time Warner Cable - with the esteemed Herbie Teope
running things
Jason McCoy: Man I stink :)
(Commish): Question from AIM: What do you think the RB situation will
be in Tampa Bay? Graham the primary or Ward?

Louis Tranquilli: Ward
Jay Clemons: there's so much TE depth
Scott Swanay: Agree on Ward.
Sean Haugh: i'm staying away from the whole situation, but yes, ward
Jay Clemons: i haven't even looked at the list after Round 6
Louis Tranquilli: More speed and such a good receiver.
Scott Engel: Graham - wWard is an overrated complementary RB
Todd Farino: Ward all the way
Todd Farino: You'll see Scott
Scott Engel: LOL - no I wont - I watched him in NJ
Todd Farino: lol, alright
Louis Tranquilli: He is a complimentary back, but the ? was who would start
Sean Haugh: thanks guys for leaving me one decent TE
Scott Engel: hes not cut out to be the top guy - graham is underrated
Louis Tranquilli: They are doing a nice job too, listening now.
Jason Pliml: I thought about Favre, but opted for E Manning
(Commish): Question from AIM: who has the advantage with the new team?
Cutler? Orton? Cassel?

Scott Swanay: Think you made the right call, Jason.
Cory Bonini: I'll take an unemployed favre over eli any day
Jason Pliml: Manning has more consistency than Favre
Scott Swanay: Cutler.
Jason McCoy: I like having Peyton and Cutler as my QBs
Steven Aldersley: Orton gains the most
Sean Haugh: orton has some beuatiful weapons and put up some nice
yards with worse last year
Jason Pliml: Cutler steps into a good situation.  Not sure what to
expect with Cassel - would have liked him better with Gonzo still in
KC
Scott Swanay: Cutler > Orton > Cassel
Louis Tranquilli: Gonzo wouldnt help the Chiefs
Scott Engel: Cutler makes his WRs better - Orton does not
Jay Clemons: cutler is obviously better than cassel
Scott Engel: Cutler made Royal last year
Jay Clemons: but chiefs head coach > bears OC ron turner
Alex Hardin: Cmon my earl bennett cover just got blown!
(Commish): Lot of differing opinions -- I like it!
Jason McCoy: Announcer, keep in mind I have Peyton as my #1
Scott Engel: Peyton Hillis?
Scott Swanay: In Stinkball?
Jason McCoy: Manning
Jay Clemons: sidney's my BIG breakout WR pick
Jason Pliml: Cutler is a hell of a backup option
Louis Tranquilli: I like Sidney too, good opportunity
Louis Tranquilli: Favre helps him a ton
Alex Hardin: Cutler loves to throw the ball 30+ times a game....I hope
the Bears didnt trade for him to run a controlled running offense...
Scott Engel: 15 rounds right?
(Commish): Yep
Todd Farino: I think Cutler will be very good this year.  Chiacgo is a
great town for him
Steven Aldersley: Austin could be top 12 if everything goes his way
Todd Farino: Great pick.
Todd Farino: I should have taken him of Hixon, but I thought he would
make it back to me
Jay Clemons: hey, geoff stein ... do we have an URL for one to check
the post-draft results?
(Commish): Yeah
Steven Aldersley: Hixon has lots of upside too
Todd Farino: Geoff, can you send me the excel file for the draft or
can I just download it?
(Commish): http://www.mockdraftcentral.com/draft_grid.jsp?id=109490
Steven Aldersley: Yes, a log of the draft would be great
Todd Farino: He does, but Austin is exciting to watch if healthy
(Commish): I will send out the excel spreadsheet in the morning
Steven Aldersley: thanks
(Commish): Results are also here:
http://www.mockdraftcentral.com/draft.jsp?id=109490&view=all
Jason Pliml: I'd email it to him
Jason Pliml: this is public
Sean Haugh: appreciate it commish - job well done
Scott Engel: you have it right?
(Commish): Thanks, Sean
Jay Clemons: got the url...gracias
Todd Farino: Excellent work as well Geoff
(Commish): Thanks, Todd
Louis Tranquilli: Thanks guys, well done again.
Todd Farino: Chris Henry could be a stud this year
Todd Farino: What a steal if he is
Scott Engel: thanks BTR fellas
Todd Farino: I hope I'll be invited back Geoff :)
Steven Aldersley: Yes, this was a very smooth draft
Todd Farino: Steve, it wasn't.  I lost Henry and Austin
Todd Farino: Miles, sorry
Scott Swanay: Except for Kurt Warner's unexpected retirement in the
middle of the draft! ;-)
Scott Engel: rod barajas? jays catcher?
(Commish): You'll be back -- no worries
Todd Farino: lol
Steven Aldersley: Hehe
(Commish): :-)
Todd Farino: Jeff Mans would like to represent in the next draft, just
email me if the spot is there
